Another old poem I wrote and also performed back in my highschool on open mic night :)

You put your icy cold hands on top of mine,

you seem upset but I try to convince you I’m just fine,

You stared deep with a blank expression into my eyes,

you understand me so well, it’s hard to cover up all the lies.

your eyes so dark and dangerous as if your looking into my soul,

as the darkness in them surrounds me and covers me whole,

your pale skin so perfect and soft feels different these days,

It’s hard to watch the good times just start to fade.

Your eyes stare at me with mixed emotions,

so cold and swelling with fear like the waters oceans,

it’s hard to know if your mad or happy with the way I am,

observing my soul as I swam deeper into your eyes.

I can tell it hurts you deep inside,

because your eyes are becoming so wide,

I can tell by the puzzled expression written on your face,

lost without a clue or a trace.

I wish I could apologize for making you feel this way,

but I’m to scared and I wouldn’t know what else I should say,

your eyes are filled with hate,

I’m sorry I made another bad mistake.

That once tender warm feeling of your touch isn’t the same anymore,

my teardrops are washed away abandoned on that oceans shore,

You seem to care but it’s so hard to tell,

it’s like I’m under some kind of magical poison spell.

Your eyes see the world in me inside and out,

but it always puts you into even more doubt,

I’m sorry if I seemed so unpredictable,

but nothing hurts more then a heart that is unfixable…

    Having esthetic quality.

    Impressive!

There are two lines in the poem that tend to stand out the most. They’re also my two favorite lines. They are:

“my teardrops are washed away abandoned on that oceans shore,”

“but nothing hurts more then a heart that is unfixable…”

Those two lines are amazing and helps your poem have that powerful impact.

    Well done!
