M.F. VanDeburgh poetry.
my aura lies dormant
like folded wheat in a rain-soaked field
the way I used to feel
has been imperceptively stifled
by too many silent yesterdays
and then I awake
through the haze i feel the hope
like pitch-perfect notes
whispered on your honey-dew voice
the choice is before me
stay or go?
allow the tides to ebb and flow
like seasons slipping silently away
or a desert lacking winter
just a blink and it’s gone
but your eyes are alive!
dancing light promises hope and passion
like fresh air in a smoky bar
far away from my constant sorrow
your heart beats healing wonder
