Poem in remembrance of our youthful days.

To our youthful days,

times of song and fun,

how we danced and played,

and sang in the sun.

We sang our favorite song,

we didn’t do any wrong,

in love we were faithful,

and to each other very truthful.

Pledged our love to each other,

we girls listened to our mothers,

and from them we would learn

when our hearts started to yearn.

Yearn for the loves of our lives,

burning with passionate desires,

to part we would never,

our promises were forever…..

To those youthful days of summer,

happy days we’ll always remember,

to keep love and to hold,

through to the days we grow old.

Now those days are gone,

our laughter has died,

we still have our song,

and it makes us cry.

Most of our friends have departed,

some have lost the will,

others are broken hearted,

we all are over the hill.

My youth I will always love you,

for the rest of my days,

can never part from you,

and all those loving ways.

I will never forget you,

for now and forever,

I thank the one above,

all I have left is your love……..end…..

How we long for young love again as we grow older. A poem written from the heart. Well done, Stan.
