Written for a man who lost his "right hand", his precious wife, in death.
Your Right Hand Lives On
“Whoso fiindeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord.” Proverbs 18:22
Perhaps sometimes, you feel like quitting.
So many years you’ve walked this road.
With someone there beside you sitting,
To help you carry all the load.
But now you’ve walked this vale of sorrow;
The one you loved so long is gone.
But you’ll see her again tomorrow.
Your right hand lives on!
Still there walks Someone beside you,
Who’ll be with you all the way.
With a loving Hand to guide you,
Every moment of every day!
And many witnesses are gathered,
With a shout to cheer you on.
And at the right hand of the Father,
Your right hand lives on!
One day there’ll be a glad Homecoming,
With our loved ones reunite.
For a bether day is dawning,
In a Land of Endless Light.
But till then you’re on a journey,
And beside you, a faithful son.
And the Lord so soon returning,
From where your right hand lives on!
He will come upon a mission,
To receive His chosen Bride.
All who’ve made Him their decision,
Will live forever by His side.
Ah, soon a glorious day in Heaven,
When all the saved of Earth are gone.
And your soul will then be living,
Where your right hand lives on!
