Your Victim has a voice.
you had me memorized by your eyes,
hidden beneath them your lies,
I was blind couldn’t see past your smile,
didn’t understand it till now it took me a while.
I was stupid, I believed every word was true,
you just played along as my feelings grew,
your fake smile, your warm hands wrapped around mine,
you committed this heart broken crime.
never thought I’d be a victim to these games,
you just swolled my emotions and I took the blame,
every start turned into a nightmare,
you never been honest now it’s clear.
we argued over these silly little things,
I was like a puppet with the strings,
so attached to everything you did,
all I did was runaway I just hid.
now, everything seems so useless and bad,
lately, all these sleepless nights made me sad,
I tried to hold on with loving arms,
too bad you fooled me again with your prince’s charm.
your kisses won’t mean anything not anymore,
what else is my heart searching for this is getting hard to ignore,
I can’t handle the pain, it still hurts deep down,
you can tell by my frown.
I shouldn’t worry, your not worth the fight,
please go, get out of my sight,
hop aboard a bus, maybe a train,
I still have so much more love left to gain.
goodbye, don’t miss your next flight,
time to start over and make it right,
this can kill me but I’ll play it off fine,
because you lying crossed the line.
love is learned,
my wish was finally earned,
I’m done being a victim to your plan,
so I never looked back I ran…
