You make me feel like I matter.
I never meant to make you cry,
I swear I didn’t.
I feel so bad I did,
My heart is beating a thousand beats per second.
I hope you can see that you mean so much to me.
People can be so evil, cruel and deceitful.
You make me feel like I matter,
unlike everyone else, I ask for help and they scatter.
They make me feel like I’m drowning in a giant tub of batter.
They try to make all my dreams shatter.
Sometimes I wish I was Christopher Columbus,
I’d travel the world looking for someone, other than those among us.
Someone who doesn’t stab people in the back,
Someone to call a friend,
It would be like finding a needle in a haystack.
I love you like lilies love the rain,
Even on the driest days, you relieve my pain.
I’ll never say your name in vain.
I’ll never try to cause you pain.
I’ll never show you any restrain.
In conclusion,
Our hearts and minds will combine in fusion.
This isn’t an illusion.
I will live happier, and so will you.
They have put up a wall but we can breakthrough.
