Zinc and Brass – a poem.

Zinc and Brass

Zinc is a metal it can be  very grey,
As a drizzly morning on an  Autumn day.
Brass is an alloy, so yellow and bright,
As a warm day in summer, bathed in light.

Graphite in pencils, will draw a line,
Between one world of grief, and another sublime.
It is fate, in this life, which decides where you live.
You may be a taker, or one that will give.

For wherever your precious life may be,
As a singular life or in company.
Respect the water and the air that you breathe,
And love all on earth until you leave.
