I have thought of several examples where my topic is applicable which I will now share with you: There are lots of men acting as a home handyman. Many of them think they are a pro at what they are doing but their lack of experience can sometimes get them into trouble.

One of my uncles was attempting to repair some broken roof tiles and slipped off the roof seriously injuring him.

There are lots of handyman examples. There are often instances where home handymen try to change a power point with dangerous consequences. If people don’t really understand about the wire colors & how they work you can get electrocuted easily.

Another example is where young people drive cars that are too powerful & they really are not experienced enough to drive. Just because they have passed their driving test doesn’t mean they can drive like Michael Schumacher. This also endangers other people on the roads.

In the financial world, not knowing enough about stocks you could invest can cause you to lose savings and ruin your life.

If you are a learner skydiver and you weren’t listening carefully to the instructor on how to release the parachute, you can be in big trouble if you panic once out of the plane an d on your own not knowing exactly what to do.

Another way the topic could be interpreted is being humiliated in front of lots of people. For example if you are giving a presentation on a subject you had limited knowledge on and there were people in the audience who had extensive knowledge on the topic and asked questions that you could not answer, this would be humiliating and very embarrassing.

Therefore when you don’t know enough about something and you overestimate your abilities you and other people around you can get seriously hurt.

So a little learning really is a dangerous thing.
