Chris meant that he plays but not in the caliber of Sean. That’s it. Take us back to L.A. We’ll be in touch when we’re able to sort this out.

DAN HILL:

It might help if I take the three of you to the championship series of the NBA. There will be at least four games, to a max of seven. How would you like that?

SA-1 (Scot Nash):

We’ll include that in our talk, thank you.

The flight back to L.A. was quiet, nothing for them to say much.

INT. – MOTEL ROOM – AFTERNOON

The three get off in front of a motel where Hill booked them after they met (flashback). The front desk gives the key to their room. On entering . . .

SA-1 (Scot Nash):

You almost bungled our plans for Earth. Have you been exposed too much to them, Chris?

MA-2 (Chris Orton):

It’s not that. I guess it is our natural reaction to what we are supposed to know, and defend it.

MA-1 (Sean Rock):

Do we stay with our original plan or do we entertain Dan Hill’s getting me in with the Rings?

SA-1 (Scot Nash):

We can incorporate that to our plan, it’s not far off, isn’t it?

MA-2 (Chris Orton):

We can take as much time as we want here on Earth, anyway there is no timetable to worry of.

SA-1 (Scot Nash):

From this time on, we will be watching basketball on their TV and learn how it is properly played.

INT. – MOTEL ROOM – NEXT DAY

For one whole day, the aliens stuck to watching basketball on TV in their room. Taking only their food pills that morning. Dan Hill is worried that they haven’t called him; he decides to pay them a visit in after lunch . . .

DAN HILL:

(As he opens the door)

Yuhooo! Anybody home?

Aliens startled by his sudden entry . . .

SA-1 (Scot Nash):

Oh, its you. We were just about to give you a call.

DAN HILL:

Okay, so what’s the verdict?

The aliens confused on the use of the word.

ALL THREE:

What do you mean? Was there anyone tried in court?

DAN HILL:

You guys have a real good sense of humor. So do we go and watch the first game tomorrow night, live?

ALL THREE:

Of course.

Dan Hill turns around for the door, looks back and gives the thumbs up sign again and winks at them.
