Their controlled emotions show no signs of frustration or disappointment on their faces. Now, they have to know which TV networks broadcast the NBA.

Meantime, they settle into one of the cafés that have NBA games on their TVs. The TV says that the best-of-seven series start two days from now, between the Eastern and Western conference champions. The games will be between the New Jersey Bets and the Los Angeles Makers.

The trio has decided to adopt names, which they overlooked coming down to Earth. SA-1 will be Scot Nash, MA-1 will be Sean Rock and MA-2 will be Chris Orton.

SA-1 (Scot Nash):

I will take note where the games will be held, then let us ask around more about basketball.

EXT. – A BLACK NEIGBORHOOD IN L.A. – NOON

Having observed that most basketball players are black, MA-1 (Sean Rock) was tasked to mingle with outdoor/neighborhood courts players. He gets himself in a ghetto of players and learns their talk . . .

MONTAGE:

Toughie 1 bounces the ball strong, at a sharp angle, so it would be beyond Sean’s reach over his head and behind him. Sean leaps at an angle intersecting and counter to the ball’s angle, catches the ball with one hand, and finds his descent is exactly on the ring and dunks. While in that act, all those in the court watch in awe (in slow motion). When he lands, all are still stunned. In a few seconds, the toughie recovers and…

TOUGIE 2:

Yeah, you can jump real good but let’s see if you can shoot!

MONTAGE:

A chest pass was given to Sean. Some toughies go near the goal to retrieve the ball and pass it back to Sean as quick as possible. With each return pass, Sean makes a series of flawless shots from one point to another as he moves. On the last of series of shots, one toughie just bounces the ball hard in disgust, and Sean from about 12 feet away jumps and does an alley-oops shot that stuns them again.

TOUGHIE 3:

(Wide-eyed in awe)

WOW, Man! Ya new draft pick of them L.A. Makers?

MA-1 (Sean Rock):

(Still expressionless face)

No man. I just came here to play some ball with you.
