One more perhaps! Of these pots one is real and other artificial. No one has been able to tell which is real. But you majesty’s wisdom will solve this problem too…

·        King Solomon: See that queen is properly welcomed and housed. Send the councilor for foreign Affairs. To me.

·        Councilor: Here I am, you majesty.

·        King Solomon: Tell me about the queen of Sheba. Describe again the land she comes from.

·        Councilor: Yemen, sir, it is a fertile strip of land on the other side of the desert. The people are sailors and merchants and have become very rich by selling their goods all over the world.

·        King Solomon: Are their craftsmen good?

·        Councilor: very good, sir. They make beautiful things of leather, woo, metal, gold and silver. Her palanquin is like a traveling throne finely carved in gold and silver with soft leather curtains.

·        King Solomon: And why has she come to visit us?

·        Councilor: To pay homage and tribute –and a desire to meet a ruler known for his great wisdom.

The king smile

·        Solomon: the queen is supposed to be a wise ruler a brilliant mind. Perhaps she wants to rest me rather than learn from me! Let us see.

Scene II

·        Narrator: The queen stayed for a week and was very impressed by King Solomon’s wisdom. The king, too, was impressed by her beauty and intelligence and courage.

·        Solomon: So today we say goodbye great lady. We hank you for wonderful gifts.

·        Queen of Sheba: My gifts are nothing compared with your wisdom. You have solved many of my problems.

·        Solomon: And are there no more I can solve?

·        Narrator: The king smiles. He knows that she will probably try to test him a very difficult problem. She makes a sign and her attendants bring in two pots of flowers. They are exactly alike and very beautiful.

·        Sheba: One more perhaps! Of these pots one is real and other artificial. No one has been able to tell which is real. But you majesty’s wisdom will solve this problem too!

·        I. Courtier: Look at soft petals and fresh green leaves.

·        2. Courtier: Even the stalks and the grins of pollen are the same.

·        Solomon: Have the pots taken out and placed in the garden. Let us go out and watch them.

·        Narrator: Everyone goes ut into the garden.

·        1. Courtier: Look even the bees and butterflies can not tell the difference.

·        2. Courtier: No, watch! They are living one pot and all crowding to the other!

·        Solomon: So your problem is loved, lady. The creatures of nature have chosen the work of nature! Are you satisfied?

·        Sheba: I bow before your wisdom king!

*Which when are the real flowers? How did the king know?
