The script of a mothers fashion show helps to explain why mothers are not models and their styles are underground.

Megan: Hello and welcome to the Spring 2008 Stay-At-Home-Mother’s Fashion Awards show! Tonight we will be witnessing this season’s great new looks for every SAHM, put on by top designers such as Lu Spitonme, Baybe Fatt and everyone’s favorite fashion designer duo, the Screaming Two’s. Aimee is here with me to view the favorites tonight, hi Aimee, how are you?

Aimee: I’m great, Megan, thank you for inviting me to witness this great event. And, folks at home, did you know that all proceeds from tonight’s SAHM-FA’s go to support fashion-less children and their mothers all over the country? That’s right; SAHM-FA has paired up with Trends 4 Life to bring these styles and many other affordable options to women and their children across America! What a great idea!

Megan: That’s right, Aimee, it is a great idea. Oh . . . it looks like they are starting now, Aimee, why don’t you take this first ensemble?

Aimee: Alright, thanks Megan. This number is from Smudge Factory, let’s check it out. This summer’s organized, well-groomed, well-dressed mother will be wearing the cargo-style khaki capris, accented with a brown smear of poop that comes only from picking up a toddler with a dirty diaper. This trendy look is topped off by a chili-smudged t-shirt (smudged from picking up a dirty toddler out of the lunch highchair I am guessing) and a look of tired resignation.

Megan: Those facial expressions are new this year and they are very H-O-T! And this piece is great, too, because not only do you get your style covered, but it also comes with a personalized scent!

Aimee: That’s right, and it looks like this summer’s best-to-invest-in stock will be laundry detergents and stain removing agents such as BIZ, which is one of the SAHM-FA’s supporters. Oh and here comes the mini model of this fashion! This summer’s toddler will be mostly cute with an exasperating habit of tossing food on the floor and throwing tantrums!

Megan: I think it is so great how these fashion designers can use these children’s innate personality “quirks” if you will to bring out the style even more! Love it!

Aimee: And here is the “Micro” version of this ensemble from Smudge Factory, very adorable! Babies are definitely the new accessory! This summer’s baby will be cute with a tinge of spit-up. What more can we say?!
