It is a short testimony of our past lives with my family and I.

My dad took a decision. He wanted to study Theology. It was a great decision for us too. It wouldn’t be easy because Daddy was already getting old and my two brothers and I were already big enough to go to school so they had to pay our school fees and everything.

My dad worked at the France hotel and earned quite a good salary. The problem at that time was that he was always sick. He had stomachache and couldn’t do much thing. But he has always had the desire in his heart to work for God, but didn’t know what to do, or how to begin. So one night, he talked with my mom and decided to learn Theology (so as to become a Pastor). It was not really my mum’s will but she accepted it anyway because she loves my father.

Time passed. My dad had to begin his studies and we had to move together to another city near the University, it was almost 150km away from our hometown. During the first year of my father’s study, everything was fine; we saved some money which we thought would be enough for his studies.  But, we tried to decrease our expenses anyway.

The second year was the same as the first, everything went well also. But as my dad was about to begin his third year, we had no more money. Dad had to work hard during the vacation. Unfortunately, because of the hard rhythm and  work, he got sick and couldn’t do anything. My mom tried to work instead of him. Mum and dad have always been working together as Carpenters. At the beginning of his third year, as usual, we had to pay half of the school fees, the subscription and everything. But we had no more money. What will we do? My parents were discussing together at home. The only solution was to stop his studies for a while, work hard to get enough money and after he will continue. It wouldn’t be easy though because we have already suffered during all this time and why stop now? We prayed many times, day and night. One afternoon, while we were waiting for God’s intervention; it was at about 2 p.m, someone knocked at the door. I opened it, it was the postman. He wanted to see my dad to sign a letter he received from the treasurer of the University he was studying before at Switzerland. This letter contained an amount of money enough for him to finish his Theology studies. He was so happy that he cried. So, ignorant, I asked him why he cried and his answer to me was: “God is good, He loves us so much.”

We thank the Lord so much for this experience. We are so grateful unto Him for all He has done for us.
