10. Palasik

Palasik according to stories, legends or beliefs of the Minangkabau is a kind of a supernatural being. According to certain beliefs it is said that Palasik are not ghosts instead are human beings with high level of black magic. Palasik was greatly feared by mothers of Minangkabau expecting Palasik to be a toddler whose food used to be children’s food and toddlers.

9. Kuyang

Kuyang an intangible phantom human head attached to the body content without skin and limbs that can fly to find a baby’s blood. This creature is known to the public in Borneo. Kuyang actually a man or a woman that requires uses black magic to achieve eternal life. During the day time a kuyang will travel like an ordinary person, but can be recognized by the special robes they wear. During the night time a kuyang flies to find baby’s blood to increase it’s power.

8. Rangda
Rangda is considered as the queen of leak as stated in the mythology of Bali. This fearsome creature is often told to be kidnapping and eating children and lead an army against the witch Barong, whichis a symbol of good strength. As told in most of the mythologies, queen Rangda Manendradatta came from the island of Java in the 11th century. She was exciled because of witch-craft against two of the king’s queens. According to the legend, she had her revenge by killing half of the kindom. Rangda is one of themost important factors of Balinese mythology. The battle against Barong is often dispayed in the dance, popular in the tradional Bali Dance. Rangda is decribed as a woman with long hair, discheleved and long nails, a scary face and sharp teeth.

7. Leak

According to Balinese mythology, Leak is presumed to be a wicked witch.Le ak means witches and evil means consecutively. Leak used to be visible at night by hunters. In the day-time the Leak would roam around like a normal human being, while during the night the Leak would be found roaming around in cemetries to find th organs in the human body that could be used to make magic potions. The potions are said were capable enough to change Leak’s shape into a tiger, monkey, pig or like Rangda. The mythology also states; that if necessary, the Leak would even take organs from living people.
