Trent’s body fell to the deck as Tera smiled from behind him towards Lizette.  “You are so delightfully cruel my love,” Tera’s voice flowed like silken honey as she moved to Lizette and kissed her softly.

They moved swiftly through the house gathering those items they had planned ahead to take.  Trent was luckily not trusting of banks and kept the vast majority of his money in cash.  They both smiled to each other and kissed as the loaded it all up.  “There is one more stash, can you go get it love?”  Lizette smiled to Tera as she told her how the night before in his drunken stupor she had seen Trent go into a shoebox under his bed to replace some cash he had with him.

Tera went down the hall to his bedroom and knelt down as she felt under his massive bed, in no time she found the shoebox and slid it out towards her with a smile.  Her mind raced with the thoughts of the life she and Lizette would soon share.  A life on the beach with no worries in the world.

Tera opened the shoebox as she knelt on the floor and blinked in momentary surprise.  There was no money in the box at all just a small post it note stuck to the bottom that said “Thank you, Goodbye Love”.  Tera barely had the time to say “No!” and to try to turn before the 12th and final shot of the night rang out.

Lizette lounged on the beach her svelte body on display as she slowly drank her drinks and enjoyed her days.  One day one of the waiters asked her how it was she was always here, always on vacation?  Didn’t she have to ever  go to work?

“I followed an easy 12 step program for wealth and happiness,” Lizette said with a thoughtful smile as she ordered another drink and thought back to how 12 shots had made her life perfect.
