“Heard about the record holder newborn baby?”  Betty Mae Hill asks Charley Jones.

“Yeah, 19 pounds and few  ounces,”  answers  Charley.

“That baby is heads over heels size over an  average newborn baby,” smiles Betty Mae.

“He’s heads and shoulders oversize.”

“He’s heads and  shoulders  and arms and legs oversize.”

“He’s heads and shoulders and whole body over most babies.”

“He’s ─ “

“And he was registered at 19 pounds, right?” Charley interrupts.

“Right,” answers Betty Mae.

“Well,  19 OUNCES, “ admits Charley, “ is what I was when I was born.” Then with a grin, ” Nineteen ounces flat!”

“You were a premature baby?”   Betty Mae asks, staring up his towering six foot height. “Were  a preemie, eh?” Giggling, she shakes her head, thinking he is teasing.

Charley says nothing.

As they stand there in the park, Betty Mae, digesting his astonishing revelation, takes a step  back from him and continues giggling..

Suddenly, Charley’s machine shovel size hands reach down for Betty Mae’s waist. He then swoops her roller coaster  style up off the ground.

Holding her high over his head he grins up at her.

Startled, Betty  Mae stops giggling.  She had never been in this position since a cheerleader in college.

She gently wiggles her legs signaling he has made his point.

“Didn’t know I was an incubator baby , eh?” Charley smirks.

Getting woozy, Betty Mae’s  eyes starts to  bulge..

Charley whirls her  merry go-round carnival style.

Then he twirls her slowly   ferris wheel motion..

Though surprised, Betty Mae keeps heels together and arms outstretched shoulder level.

She is a performing ballerina style on stage.

“Okay. already!” yells Betty Mae , getting dizzy in the head.

His arms getting tired any way, Charley lowers Betty Mae to the ground with a sigh.  Charley  is glad she is petite.

On the ground, weaving on her feet,  she smirks,  “Okay, Mr. 6 foot 3 inch Charley, you think you’re smart?” she says  tapping  him on his barrel chest.
