When a bad day brings James down, Brandon can always fix it.
James sighed and shut his eyes, laying his head on his desk. He only needed to survive one more hour before he could head off home… to love…Still, he didn’t know if he could even make it. So far, his computer had crashed because a rival company had infected it with a ridiculous virus, he’d had to lecture his little brother Greg, who was left entirely in his care on not insulting his teachers,—which was painful to do, because of course Greg never said anything that wasn’t completely true. He was just like James at that age, and James could remember how irritating it was to be more intelligent than your so called teachers—he had almost ruined a merger that would be great for both his company and another and it would have opened a plethora of more jobs, and to top it all off he hadn’t slept in forty-eight hours, and he hadn’t eaten since 4:30 that morning.
He really didn’t think he could make it to the end of the day.
“Hey, Samantha! James in his office?” Brandon asked, swaggering past the secretary’s desk over to the large door with a lead name plate leading into his office. He squeaked when Samantha grabbed him by the collar.
“Maybe not go in there right now Brandon” she said in a low voice. “He hasn’t had the best of days. Even young Gregory has been avoiding him,”
The red head frowned. “Really? Really? We were going out tonight…” He huffed and looked back at the big blue door. “…Well, I guess we’ll wait until next weekend…”
The secretary nodded and smiled in relieved that she wouldn’t hear anymore yelling today. “That sounds like the best plan Brandon.”
“Mhm…Hey… could I see your computer for a sec’?”
“Huh? Well… Sure.”
“Thank you.” He said pulling over the keyboard.

James pulled up his head but didn’t completely sit up as his laptop pinged. He was so glad it had been his office computer that died and not his precious laptop. He had a new email… Did he even want to open it? Oh, to open it and submit himself to more suffering of the business world. He sighed loudly; a CEO’s work was never finished. He arched a brow in surprise.

From: Brandon
Subject: Bad day?

-Brandy
James couldn’t hold a smile down as he read the words. As he got the the end he felt his tense muscles relax. “Oh, Goodness Brandy. You will never understand how much I needed that.” He glanced at a pile of papers that showed there was still work to do, then at the clock… He stood up quickly, throwing the papers in the droor deciding they could be done tomorrow and that since he was CEO, he would just this once end his day a tad early. “I’ll be home soon Brandon.”
He packed up his laptop and left the office without any hesitation; he just could not be there for a single second longer. Opening the door, he looked toward Samantha with a tired smile. “Samatha, I’m going home.”
For a second she looked confused, then smiled. “Oh sir! Brandon left just a few minutes ago. If you go now, you might just be able to catch him.”
Samantha could honestly say had she never seen the man run faster.
