Just a silly little story that will hopefully give you a giggle.Minty and huey are the best of friends but today Minty is having a bad day and starting to have a bad affect on Huey, what antics will the pair get up to, or is this day just going to end badly?
Minty was talking to his friend Huey for the last hour, he had been venting his anger and frustration to his friend about the way people gave him a bad reputation. Sure he might have been a flea bag, sure he may have been old and scruffy with matted hair but if that wasn’t bad enough, they had to pick on his color.
Huey looked at his friend yawning as though he was getting bored. “I don’t think it’s just you they pick on Minty,”he said lazily.
“Oh it is!” Minty declared, “Believe me, it is!”
Huey couldn’t be bothered to argue with his friend so he said, Okay, okay maybe it just is you. Fancy going to find something to eat now I’m starving, it takes a lot of assertion to listen you know.”
Minty knew he was kidding but he couldn’t shake the thoughts out of his head. “Look did you see that,” he said, “That man just expected me to move out of his way so I just had to cross over to the other side of the path to let him go, now that’s what I’m talking about.
Huey looked, but towards the crashing sound, the man that had just passed had tripped and went straight through a window. Oh great, I’ll never hear the end of it he thought to himself and sure enough that had set Minty off again.
“Oh I suppose that is my fault to, you see instead of that guy just being plain clumsy he would blame it on my color.”
“Well sorry to say Minty but I gotta go, I’m starving. I might be just a bum but I know a lot of good places that chuck out stuff at this time of day.
“Fine then just go. See you tomorrow?” Minty scowled crossing in front of his friend to let him by.
Stepping onto the road Huey yelled “Yup, see you tomorrow, try to relax though dude!”
As Minty turned he heard another loud bang, a truck had just come roaring past and crushed his friend, who was now splattered all over the wheels of the truck.
“Oh no, Huey^^^^^^^, Huey^^^^^^^. You were my only friend. Okay I admit it, black cats are unlucky, Huey^^^^^^,” Minty yelled teary eyed with his tail up in the air, running in front of a human that was passing by.
