While walking home from the school bus stop in the town of Rakkestdad, a 13-year-old Norwegian boy encountered with four wolves. Luckily, the pack of wolves weren’t big fans of heavy metal music.

Walter Eikrem was listening to music on his mobile phone on the way home when all of the sudden he noticed something gray on the hillside.

At first he thought they were dogs, but soon realized they were wolves four of them the magazine said, citing Norway’s TV2.

The boy, remembering that his mother had told him never to run from wolves, Walter pulled the earphones out of his mobile phone, turned the volume all the way up and blasted heavy metal music all over the place. At the same time, he yelled as loud as he could while flapping his arms about wildly to scare off the pack of wolves.

Eikrem said he was able to drive away the wolves by playing the song “Overcome” by the American hard-rock band Creed. “They didn’t really get scared,” Walter said. “They just turned around and simply trotted away.”

In the end, his mother advice and his love for metal music seem to have saved his life.

Good grief, I had not heard of this story. Sure am glad the boy was unharmed!
