This is a story about a dog I wrote. He saves a cat, and the story from the cat’s point of view will be submitted next.
I walked up to the cat and put my paw on his neck.
“Checkmate,” I said to the cat. It just growled back. “I’m gonna release my paw slowly. If you even make a move, I’ll eternally knock you out.” The cat got the meaning and stopped growling.
I slowly lifted my paw. When it was enough for the cat to get it, he slid out from under my paw and ran away into the darkness.
“That’s done,” I said joyfully to Kim, who was amazingly still in my jaws.
“Wow,” I heard her say amazingly.
“What?” I replied.
“Your fighting. Where’d you learn that?”
“Umm…”
“How do you do it?”
“Umm…”
“When’d you learn it?”
“Umm…”
“How’d you learn it?”
“Umm…”
“Why’d yo-“
“Stop asking me hard question!” I said.
“Sorry, I’m just amazed.”
“We should go home now. Everyone is probably worried. Besides, I was supposed to get home by lunch. Which has probably passed by now.” I said.
“You’re right.” Kim said. I started walking again. I walked out of the alley way and then suddenly stopped. “What now?”
“Umm… Kim? Do you by any chance know which way is home?”
“You mean, you don’t?”
“Nope.”
We both sighed.
3 Hours Later…
“FINALLY!!!!!! There is it!!!!!! That same intersection!!!!!!! HOME!!!!!!!!!!!” I yelled out with joy, as I had been carrying Kim and looking for home for the last 3 hours. I used my last burst of energy to run up the pathway, jump up and hit the doorbell, drop Kim down, fall down with exhaustion, and sleep.
I woke up to a party. Or so it seems, because there were no people. I was lying on the sofa, looking at the counter. And on the counter, were all sorts of party things. Things like chips, sodas, cookies, etc. The major thing on the table, though, was dog biscuits. And dog food. And juicy steak bones. Mmmmmmm… They were all on there.
The next thing I saw was Kim. She was under the sofa arm, looking up at me. She was bandaged. I instinctively felt my own wounds, and saw that they were too bandaged.
“I told them everything, Sam.” She said.
“Even our nature?” I plainly asked, as I was still a bit sleepy.
“Yep. Everyone’s asleep now, but I stayed up to tell you that the dog food and biscuits are for you.”
That got me awake. “What time is it?!” I asked alarmingly.
“1:00,” Kim said.
“Woah. It’s late. Oh well, I’m hungry.” I jumped off the sofa and onto the counter and started to eat my lunner. Or lunch and dinner. And after I finished, guess what I did?
I went to sleep.
And I’m here right now, typing this up on the computer, ready to put this story up on the web for anyone who will believe it to read. Jim’s parents fully believe that I can understand English now and treat Kim and I like their own children. I better get off of the computer now, because it seems like Kim wants to write her own account. Just to tell you, though, I think that Kim has been treating me with more respect than normal. Probably just because I saved her life. I mean, it was nothing. Doesn’t matter anyway. Kim’s hushing me off the computer now, and I gotta go soon. Well, good lu-
