A Day In The Life of a High School Student in 2049.

A Day In The Life — 2049

Phineas woke up to the sound of his earpiece implant alarm clock. It was 7:40 AM and it was playing a pre-recorded reminder of today’s big event. Today was the day when the iBanana-3DTouch-Watch-Pro’s Technology was released. Phineas patted his pet platypus and went downstairs to his food replicator and replicated a To-Go brand Breakfast pill. It was the only brand that got the breakfast pills to taste good.

Phineas teleported to the iBanana Store and bought the information required to build the new technology. He teleported back home and transported the information into brain and input the supplies into his replicator and replicated the supplies necessary to produce the iB-3d-Watch (iBanana-3DTouch-Watch-Pro). The constructing process began, and the ETA was in 15 mins. It must’ve been a really complicated device to have to take so long. School was going to begin soon, and he still had lots of time, a whole 3 seconds! That was plenty of time! He went to his long-range teleporter, and teleported right to school. He quickly put on his learning helm and initiated the five-months-time-compressed English and Math lessons, which was immediately transmitted into his brain. It was good, that there was time-compressing technology. It would waste so much time if he had to go through five months of lessons about English and Math.

His parents would tell him about the times when they were young and things took so long. Without teleporters and replicators they would take minutes and sometimes even hours to travel to places! Phineas could not believe people had to sit through days of school listening to boring lectures when the process could easily be compressed and the knowledge inputted within his brain.

It was 8:10 and that was just about the time when his iB-3d-Watch would be finished. Phineas sure would impress his best friend Ferb with his new device. He quickly slipped a quarter into the nearest ‘Beam-To Booth’ and teleported to his house. He hastily retrieved his newly made product, put it on, and called his parents on Jupiter to see if they were still planning to watch the movie they wanted to watch with him. His parents teleported with the inter-planetary-transporter and appeared in his living room.

Phineas raced down the stairs to watch the movie “Avatar” with them. It was the longest and most dreary movie he had ever watched! The 3D wasn’t even close to three dimensional because you had to put on glasses that made you look weird and made your vision blurry. He would rather see the “Clash of the Aliens” in Holographic-3D-Time-Compressed version on his iB-3d-Watch (which didn’t require silly looking glasses). He went to bed to have a short nap and before he slept he was thought about how boring and long things were in the 2000s.
