This is a description of a day of my life when I was at the examination hall, appearing for my Second Year BA Exam.
Hello..
I am a Second Year BA Student, hopeful not any more as I have already appeared for my final terms and awaiting results now.
This is a disclosure of my day of exam it was my fifth exam of Political Science on that day, We all were highly tasked and had mugged up lots of matter on constitution of India to write in our exam.
However, as usual, there are some people always ready with those small (minimized) copy cheats and chits in their pockets or some other place in their clothes as they have either not studied well or aren’t confident on their studies that they would easily clear the exam. We keep seeing such people who try to cheat in exams trying hard enough to escape from the examiner / invigilator, but on that bad and hot day of Political Science Exam (the temperature outside was nearly about 36 degree Celsius), one of the female student was caught trying to cheat and she was then asked to leave the answer sheet as it is and told that now she won’t really be allowed to write anymore.
This gave her a hard shock, and she seemed to be weak enough to tolerate any shocks, she begged the examiner to forgive her for her mistake but the examiner didn’t really listen her and instructed her to leave the examination hall immediately, failing which her answer sheet will be torn and thrown away in the dustbin and she would be marked absent in the examination records..
So she left the examination hall and went away, just a few minutes later, a university inspector came in the class to check whether everything is going fine or not and he observed one answer sheet submitted to the examiner within half the time of exam duration, he inquired whether the student really finished the exam or if it was due to some other reason that the examiner took the answer sheet from the student, the examiner bluntly replied that the student had already finished the exam and she left from the examination hall a few minutes back, the examiner lied to the inspector, probably because she didn’t want the student to get expelled from the university in copying case for 3 years and waste her another 3 years before she could reappear for the exam…
What I wanted to tell my readers from this short story is… Constitution of India, or any other such things, don’t actually decide whether you are knowledgeable enough or not to get a bachelor’s degree, what matters is, you have worked hard towards it.. Though if seen practically, it is a pure waste of time to study and mug up Constitution of India for one day of exam, then get the degree and forget everything what we studied during college days, as not necessary that all the students who studied Constitution of India or Political Science as a subject in College would turn into a Politician or some other leader of the nation.. Many are in fact not even interested in such subjects and they study just for the sake of having a bachelor’s degree as it is very important these days to have a bachelor’s degree, without which its really not possible to secure a good job or make career in life in any field… So just for this small reason, copying must either be a normal thing and trend for ARTS students or such other same field students or that as it is completely not allowed to copy, we must obey it and abide by the rules.
We all have aims in life.. We have to work hard in life towards that.. But shortcuts or illegitimate ways never really take us to any good path… We need to grow up now and learn what is correct in life in practical as well as realistic ways…
