Here is the short adventure from the cat’s point of view.
A Feline Day
Sleep. It could be seen in two ways. To some people, sleeping is a waste of the day. To some people, sleep is a gracious way to gain rest and definitely not a waste of the day. To some people, sleep is both a gracious way to get rest and a waste of the day. I think I fit into the latter of the category.
I woke up early, like I always do. I like to be up early. I like to just walk around and observe how everyone gets up. Some people get up grumpy. Some people are more like, “A new day is here! Yay!” and are happy about getting up. Then there is that middle again. The place where sometimes the person is jolly about getting up and sometimes the person. Either that, Oor they both like and don’t like to get up, meaning that they support both groups of good and bad. I fit into the latter yet again.
I looked around Jess’ room. Jess herself was still sleeping. Ah, how she looks like an angel while sleeping. Of course, almost everyone is like that when they sleep. There is no difference. It’s when someone is awake that matters. And you really don’t want to know how she’s like when she’s awake.
Getting out of bed is always a problem for some people. I’ll skip sharing my philosophies with you this time, because I probably already have bored you. I’ll just say that I am, again, in the middle, as I think I should get up and I want to get up, but I have to force myself to get up. Yes, I like the middle a lot.
I walked out of the door and into the hallway. The floor was cold. Some peo- Never mind. I turned to the left and walked down the stairs. Then padding into the living room, I saw that no one was up yet. But that was to be expected. I jumped onto the sofa and looked at the clock. 6:30. 30 minutes till this family’s early birds awake. With nothing better to do, I started to wait for the first person to come down.
Minutes passed. I lied lay there, unmoving. It was now 6:50. Patience, Kim. Patience is a virtue. Yes it is. Especially for a cat.
Suddenly, I heard a creak on the stairs. Someone was coming down. I would say that it most likely is Jim’s mom.
