A short story about behavior.

The University of Physics can be a place of learning, a place of breakthroughs, a place of discovery. But, in some rare cases, it can be a place of wisdom. Although ironic that this is a place of study, and of course, physics, we can completely understand that places don’t always limit what you learn in life. Within the glass double doors and majestic dome, within the labs and lecture rooms, there is always something to learn about, something to think and ponder, something to know. But, of course, all the knowledge this place has to offer doesn’t have to be physics. For example, we can focus on the college counselor, who happens to be a rather mysterious and shady man. But, his wisdom is far beyond compare in the entire city, and a rather fortunate student will be enlightened by his words.

Lafurian has never really been able to keep his hands to himself. Everytime he tries to not sock a bully in the face for the adversary’s prejudice, the bully’s arrogance and stupidity earns the braggart a well aimed punch in the face. Thus, Lafurian was suspended five times, expelled once, and has a total of nine citations from 1st to college. Lafurian doesn’t view himself as a troubled teen, he just thinks that he has

rage issues and is getting himself into fights too much, for all the lawful reasons. Of course, hitting someone is violence, and violence is not permitted in school.

Walking with a rather hesitant stride down the hallway, he catches glimpses of working professors and volunteers milling about doing errands, like copying documents, typing important waivers, and getting coffee for themselves. After a few moments of walking, Lafurian stops at a pine-wood door marked COUNSELOR. He has never seen the counselor before, and has never heard rumors about him. What he doesn’t know, is that the counselor only corrects children when they are seriously out of line.

Lafurian opens the door, and finds himself in a posh room; a pine oak table top stands at the right, and a huge book shelf stands on the left. The book shelf is filled with novels, but the title print is too small to read. A metallic lamp lit the room with golden light, and a leather chair behind a glass table faces away from Lafurian. The leather chair rotates, to reveal a very posh man. A suit, cropped beard, gray hair, and blue, twinkling eyes give him the look of a millionaire.
