Death on Honeymoon.
A Murder full of Vagueness
This has to be the most mysterious murder of the century. When I first heard about it I didn’t realized how complicated this murder was but upon deep analysis I found that this can just be an incidental murder. South African police discovered the dead body of a 28 year old Anni Hindocha in an abandoned taxi on the 14th of November. Anni Hindocha was enjoying her honeymoon with her husband Shrien Dewani, a successful businessman from Bristol. After a series of investigation Anni’s body was delivered to her parents in Britain where her body has been cremated according to the Hindu religion.

Shrien Dewani and Anni Hindocha just before their engagement in Mumbai
Relatives and friends of Anni Hindocha started to raise question against her murder. It was obvious whom they were pointing finger upon and they had good reasons behind that as well. Anni’s father described how he felt when he saw her daughter’s dead body lying on a coffin. “She was beautiful and she was lying calmly in the coffin” said Anni’s father with wet eyes. He also said that there were no scratches on his daughter’s face which proved that she was not harassed prior to murder. He told the media that both the couple were extremely happy during their engagement in Mumbai which was carried out in presence of 300 guests. Now the series of controversy starts and I am going to point out one by one as they happen.
First and foremost the couple got married in Mumbai in front of 300 guests but surprisingly the marriage was not registered neither in India nor anywhere else in the world. What was the reason behind that? This is the first question to be asked to both Mr. Hindocha, father or Anni and Shrien Dewani.
Shrien Dewani told the South African officials that as soon as they landed on Johannesburg they were on their way to Kruger National park for a safari and later than went to the five star Cape Grace hotel in Cape Town. A reservation in the hotel had previously been booked by Dewani’s secretary in London. Dewani’s secretary also confirmed that a taxi driver was also arranged from a local tour company Platinum Express to pick them up from the airport. The driver’s name was Zola Tongo, who was from a nearby city. After arriving at the hotel Dewani asked Tongo to give him his mobile number and promised that he will give him a call if they have any plans to go for a ride.
