They all waited anxiously for her arrival, it had been so long since they last seen her, Jocelyn left home years earlier, to start her life over, and this would be the first time her family had seen her since she left. She wasn’t suppose to arrive til next week, but had called to say she was coming home early, and staying an extra week which really excited her family, especially her mother. They decorated the house with “WELCOME HOME” banner’s, and her mother made a ice cream cake Jocelyn’s favorite. To her family it was just like another holiday celebration. Her grandmother watched out the window patiently, as her mother ran around the house, making sure everything was just right for her arrival. her brothers and there wives sat in the living room talking with their stepfather, while their children were playing in the back yard. her uncle was pacing the floor in front of the door.

       Jocelyn came from a very big family, and when she was growing up it was a close one to. They spent a lot of time together, the whole family from great grandparents, to 5th cousin’s, for holidays, birthdays, and just to be together. as she grew up thou, they grew apart slowly but surely, first they stop having so many family picnic’s, then it seemed like the holidays where next to go, she missed it. Then when her great grandmother passed away something had to change, and slowly they all realized it. Next week was going to be the first really big family holiday in years. and there was no way she was going to miss it, not now especially. She had a niece she hadn’t even layed eyes on since her birth, and her nephew she hadn’t seen in years. When she told her mother she would be coming home her mother couldn’t believe it, she had been trying to get her to come home for a long time with no success. To her mother this was the best christmas present she could ever get. and even thou her grandmother wouldn’t admit it, she to was very excited, her first born granddaughter was finally coming home, and she missed her very much even thou they never really did see eye to eye.

         Except for a few phone calls here, and there her family had no idea of what really went on in her life, and this was guaranteed to be one of the biggest holiday surprises they had ever gotten. The antisapation was getting stronger, and stronger as the minutes turned to hours. They knew she would be there soon but they didn’t really know when.

       With Christmas just around the corner, and the birth of her son, Jocelyn found herself home sick like she had never felt before. She had been gone for so long, and tried to keep things from her family somewhat to protect them, and mainly cause she knew if they knew everything it would only make her mother bug her more, and more to come home. So when she found out she was pregnant, she struggled with the decision to tell them or not. At first she thought to herself i will tell them just not yet, they had gone through so much lost, and pain over the years, she wanted to make sure, she would be able to make it full term this time, before she said anything then the longer she kept it a secret the more she liked the idea of surprising them with it. She wasn’t due till December 28th, so she thought what would be better, she had planned to go home for the holidays anyway, why not just show up, and say surprise, and Merry Christmas your going to be a grandma, and she figured this way she would be home with her family when she had her baby.

            Unfortunately Alexendra didn’t feel the same way, he decided he wanted to be born before Christmas, and so he was, Jocelyn’s water broke while shopping for groceries, and on December 1 27 day’s early out came little beautiful Alexendra 8lb 7ounces, and already trouble. So Jocelyn and Anton her husband and best friend talked, and decided since they wasn’t home when the baby came, then at least they could go home a week early so their parents would get to spend more time with their new grandson. But little Alexendra didn’t get to ruin all of mommy and daddies plan’s, they decided to still keep him a secret in til they arrived.

          Jocelyn spent all of thursday night packing, and preparing for their trip the next morning, still a little tired and recovering, she figured she had better start early in case she over looked  anything. Then she fed Alexendra, and put him to sleep, And settled into a hot rosemary bath to relax. Anton was driving the whole way, so that Jocelyn could tend to Alexendra, so he had already went to sleep, to make sure he was well rested. Jocelyn couldn’t get everything out of her mind, she was still a nervous new mommy learning, and now she was about to walk into the abyss of her family, with a secret they were sure to kill her for keeping.

        The sun shined threw the window onto their bed bright and early the warmth of it gently touching Jocelyns face, as she woke to find Anton already up and dressed, as she crawled out of bed she noticed Alexendra was not in his bassinet either, frantic at first, it finally dawned on her that he must be with Anton, so she set off through the house on the hunt for her two men. She finally found them in the living room, in the big cushion chair by the window. Anton was feeding Alexendra his morning bottle, and had already dressed him in the outfit they had gotten him for the trip. She heard Anton talking to him, “Son, I don’t really know what to expect when we get to your grandma’s but I will tell you this much, if you hear yelling don’t worry daddy will be right there, and it will only be me and your mommy they are yelling at, for keeping such a special little man like you all to ourselves, but I guess its time, we finally have to share you with the world”, then he started to laugh and said, “Oh yea, and the really big loud voice is only your grandma, trust me you will get to know that screech anywhere soon enough.”, Jocelyn interrupted, “ Excuse me, I know you better not be referring to my mother, or else your christmas will be hit, cause I will blame this whole idea on you buddy”, as she started to laugh. With everything in the van, they were ready to go, they loaded the most precious one of all last, fast asleep in his car seat, they took one last look at their peaceful home, for they new it would not stay peaceful much longer.

      It was only 4 hours to their destination, but it seemed like days, as they grew closer Jocelyns got more and more nervous. All this time, and she hadn’t set foot back in this town since she left 3 years earlier, how was her family going to react to the news of Alexendra? how would they feel about her staying gone so long? She wouldn’t know till she arrived, she guessed. I mean how could they not forget everything, once they looked into those beautiful babies eyes. Anton could feel how nervous she was getting, and how tense, so he reached over and grabbed her hand in his, and said, “Don’t worry it will all be just fine, they are gonna love him, and they will be so excited to see you, that they wont even care that we didn’t tell them.”, she just smiled, he always knew just how to make her feel better, he always had a way.

       While back at her mother’s house the tenses was getting bigger everyone was starting to get anxious, the clock was nearing 3 and Miranda Jocelyn’s mother was starting to worry she knew it was only a four hour drive and she thought for sure they would of been here by 2, but with all the excitement she forgot to count the time difference and the road condition she was just so anxious to see her daughter, she couldn’t help wonder how she would look? How she had changed? would this still be her happy go lucky little girl? so many questions and no answers at least not till Jocelyn got there. her brother john was also getting a little impatient “Mom if she don’t hurry up and get here soon i’m gonna take off i got things to do you know” John and Jocelyn hadn’t really been close since they were kid’s it got even worst when john’s son michael was born Jocelyn loved that little boy with all her heart and she couldn’t stand the way John chose his friend’s over him all the time or they life John chose to live and pull michael into, “ She’ll be here John, for heaven sakes this is your sister not a stranger she hasn’t been home in years can’t you for once put someone else first and help make this a happy home coming for her? “ he just shook his head “ fine i’ll stay a little longer but she better hurry I’m getting sick of waiting” he stormed back into the living room past his stepfather andrew “honey don’t worry it will be fine if he get’s out of line then let him leave we will just make him leave michael with us for the day that is the only one she would really want to see any ways” Andrew told is wife “ I know i was just hoping he would act like a human being for once and actually care about his sister, can’t blame a mother for hoping her children would care about one another” she sighed and turned to look out the window “Hey look you have three children and at least two of them do have that connection Jocelyn and Donavin love each other and have a bond no one can break and you know that and you know he ain’t gonna miss his sister’s home coming for anything” Andrew try to comfort his wife, ”Ok who is talking about me now i know its someone my ears are burning” Donavin broke in ” Mom are you letting that idiot John get to you again, just ignore him you know how he is, how many times have you told us ignore ignorance and it goes away ” he started laughing as he put his arm around his mother, ”Jocelyn will be here soon and she will put him in his place she always does don’t she?  he is just getting nervous he cant remember if he made her mad the last time they talked or not so he don’t know if she is gonna whip him when she gets here or not so he is a little afraid” everyone was laughing by now, All of a sudden her grandmother came running in ” There is a mini van pulling into the driveway i think it’s her” everyone was so excited her mother almost ran over everyone to get to the door ” Let Miranda be the first to go out its only right it is her daughter” Andrew told everyone. Donavin started laughing ” I ain’t stupid enough to get in moms way”

    As they turned the corner they could see all the cars filling the drive way, all she could think was, god, who all did mom call. There was one spot open, right up at the door, as if they reserved it just for her, all of a sudden she was filled with so much joy. they turned and looked at each other, and Jocelyn said, “Your sure you’re ready for this? ”, all Anton said was, “ As long as your with me, I am ready for anything.”, no sooner did Jocelyn open the back door, to get Alexendra out, her mother came running out the door yelling, “ Let your brothers get those bag’s, you just get in here so we can see you! ”, and she stopped, dead in her tracks, as Jocelyn turned around with Alexendra in her arms, and a big smile. “ Merry Christmas grandma! ” tears formed in her mothers eyes, as she walked closer staring at the little boy in her daughters arms, she couldn’t believe it , was this real, i mean a baby, her daughter never even let on to the fact she was pregnant, let alone that she had already given birth. “ Mom are you ok? ”, Jocelyn didn’t know what to do, her mother was just standing there silent, her mother was never silent, not as long as she had known her, most times you couldn’t get her to shut up. And for the first time in her life, she finally witnessed her mother speechless,She turned to Anton with a look a desperation in her eyes, her brothers and grandmother where coming out the door by now, and they all just stopped, amazing after all these years, she finally found a way to quiet the whole family. Then finally Anton spoke up, “ Hum, Honey its kind of cold out here, maybe we should move this inside before Alexendra gets a cold.”, Jocelyn was so thankful that he broke the silence, she just smiled at him. Anton’s words brought her mother back to life  “ Yes lets go inside before the baby, ” her mother paused, “ baby gets sick! ” She put her arm around Jocelyns waist, and they walked into the house together. Anton closed the car doors, and followed them inside. Her grandmother said, ” Let me get your coat for you, “ and she placed them on the coat rack at the door. Jocelyn sat down, in the big chair by the fire place, and unwrapped Alexendra, from his piles of blankets, and winter suit. Her mom walked over, by her and knelt by the side of the chair, still staring at Alexendra then with confusion in her eyes she said, “ How , when , you never , what was you thinking not telling your own mother, he is yours right? “,Jocelyn just smiled ”Yes mom he is mine, i have the marks to prove it”, she said laughing at this point,  “would you like to hold your grand son? ”,her mothers face changed from confusion and surprise to complete joy as she said  “ Yes, yes, of course I would, give me him”, reaching for him you could see her mothers hands shaking , “he is so beautiful, he is just a miracle”, Miranda said, as she held him close to her, “ his name is Alexendra, he decided to give us a surprise of our own , and come early, he wasn’t due til next week, but i guess he didn’t want to miss the family celebration either, instead of waiting for next years.” Jocelyn laughed, as she turned to look at her brothers, “He is already acting like his uncles”, the shock finally wore off everyone, as they gathered to meet the newest family member, “How early was he? “ asked Elaine Donavin’s wife “27 marvelous days, my water broke at the grocery store and let me tell you i thought the clerks where gonna kill me for the mess he made” Jocelyn laughed as she told her story “ All i said was i should of know better than to go the a food store knowing who his father was and there was a chance he would be just like him”Anton just smiled” Like father like son” the questions kept coming and so did the answers, her brothers had seen a side of their sister they had never seen before, she was more open and happier than they could of ever imagined “ So that is where you were when i called all those days and you told me you were shopping “ Donavin grinned at his sister with an evil look “I see how you are, not only did you keep a secret from me, but lied to your little brother as well, oh your gonna get it” he busted out laughing.

          Alexendra smiled the whole time, not once did he cry it, was like he knew this was were he belonged, “ does your mother know Anton? ”, Jocelyns grandmother asked, as all eyes turned toward him, “ No actually we are planning to give her a heart attack tomorrow morning”, he said with a big grin. “it’s ok if we stay here tonight ain’t it mom? ”, Jocelyn asked, “I forgot to ask, with Alexendra’s sleep schedule I don’t want to bother you and dad! ”, her mother just smiled, “ of course you are staying here tonight, I wont take no for an answer, this little angel of grandma’s ain’t going no where, he is gonna spend all the time he can with grandma tonight”.”hey now don’t forget his grandpa, now i want to spend as much time getting to know him to, before they whisk him away from us, how else can i spoil him” Andrew added as he walked towards his stepdaughter and grandson. Jocelyn just looked at Anton, cause he was right in the car, and smiled at him and whispered. “ I Love You! ” he smiled, and nodded, and whispered back, “I Love You To”, “ So where is this new niece of mine and where is Michael to he ain’t even came to give his aunt Jocelyn a hug yet” “ I just layed Amber down for her nap in on mom’s bed you want to go see her? ”Donavin asked his sister, “ you better bet your bottom dollar i do” just as they started to walk towards their moms room out of nowhere Jocelyn got tackled from the side with a big hug that knocked her to the ground she could hear a light laughter “ i got you know aunt Jocelyn and you ain’t ever leaving me again” as she looked up she saw the face of her precious nephew she had missed him so much “ well Aunt Jocelyn missed you to michael “ as she squeezed him tight “now you have to let me up so i can go see amber honey”, he paused for a minute “oh ok but only if you promise you ain’t going no where today” , “i promise” she said as she kissed his forehead. He helped her to her feet again and held her hand as the three of them walked to her mothers room to see her niece, ”You know i almost didn’t recognize you, you’ve gotten so big what happen to my little monster man? ”, he started giggling ”I grew up silly did you think i was always gonna stay little”she just pulled him closer and smiled. As she walked in there laid a little angel jocelyn just let out a sigh of joy. the first granddaughter for her mother it was such a relief when they found out her brother was having a girl. Just what the family needed after the loss of their great grandmother that year. It was hard for the whole family especially Jocelyn she looked up to her great grandmother she was truly a woman to admire and Jocelyn did, she decided that day that she would not return home till she could hold her head up high and be proud of herself just like her great grandmother always did, and she could she had worked so hard to make things right in her life and to build a future for herself and her family she only hoped she could be as great a mother as her own and her grandmother and great grandmother were.

        At that point Alexendra let out a scream that could of woke the dead, Jocelyn hadn’t realized how late it had gotten poor little guy must be starving by now she turned and ran to the living room “ don’t worry mom he is just hungry he has his father’s apatite” Anton broke in with “ and his grandmothers lungs” and they all laughed. All thou Jocelyn was breast feeding she had brought along some pre-made bottles she didn’t think it was very proper to just whip it out in front of her whole family, plus it made it a little easier this way so Anton could help feed him if she were busy or tired it gave him the chance to bond more with his son, and he loved the idea. she warmed the bottle slightly and Alexendra quieted down as soon as the nipple touched his lips he had slept the whole drive up and didn’t wake til they arrived at her mother’s sleeping right thru his 12:00 and 2:00 feedings and it was now 3:00 she was surprised he hadn’t started screaming the minute he woke up. While she was feeding him her mother had sneaked off to use the phone of course calling everyone to tell them the great news, so it wasn’t long before more people showed up to meet this new addition to the family and to see Jocelyn and Anton, and to congratulate them. Alexendra loved all the attention it was so amazing he just kept smiling as if he had always known these people holding him and cooing over him, after 7 long hour’s of family coming and going everything finally settled down and Alexendra was finally asleep, and Anton wasn’t far behind him. So after getting settled in their room for the night Anton went straight to sleep after a long hot shower, and a quick check on Alexendra, after seeing that her two men where comfortably settled in Jocelyn went off to the kitchen to swipe another piece of her mother’s lemon merang pie and relax in front of the fire place gazing at the beautiful christmas tree her mother had put up as usual. It felt so comforting being home with her family she never really knew how much she missed them till she walked through that door today and seen all their faces again. she was just finishing off her pie when her mother walked in carrying another piece “ i figured you would need this “ she smiled as she joined her daughter on the huge chair for two wrapping her arm around her daughter “now that everyone is gone tell me why didn’t you tell me you were gonna have a baby i would of come to be with you so you wouldn’t have been alone”  smiling “ i wasn’t alone mama i had Anton and all of our family was right there with me including you “ she lowered her head a little “ i just didn’t want to say anything til  i was sure he was gonna make it i didn’t want to put you through the pain of another loss if something went wrong“ her mother pulled her closer”  Baby that is what a mother is for not a daughter, I am suppose to protect you from hurting and how would i have been able to help you if something did go wrong if i didn’t even know ”. Jocelyn finally understood what that really meant she imagined Alexendra grown up and married and how she would feel if she missed the birth of his first child, she sat there silent for a little while “mama i’m so sorry, i thought i was protecting you just in case something went wrong i never really thought about it from your point” , “I guess I really screwed up again didn’t I? ” , “ No your heart was in the right spot but sometimes you try to hard to protect the world, and baby you forget to protect yourself and that is why i am here, its my job to protect my baby you just need to start letting me and quite trying to save the world” Alexendra started crying Jocelyn got up and went into the guest room to get him it was feeding time again her mother followed here and waited for her in the doorway to the bedroom “its ok my little angel mommy’s here “ Jocelyn told him as she picked him up “ shhhh your gonna wake daddy up and we need to let daddy get his rest”. Her mother was just watching her little girl with own her little boy for the first time and she didn’t see her little girl no more thou she saw a beautiful new mother attending to her beautiful little boy and she finally realized her little girl was all grown up. Jocelyn held Alexendra close to her heart as she walked back to the living room with her mother following right behind her, as she sat down to feed Alexendra all she could do is stare at him, “you know i still can’t believe he is still here, or that he is mine”, tears start in her mothers eyes, “ You know I know how you feel, I felt the same way when you were born.” she paused for a minute, “ You were my miracle, just like he is your’s They just sat there talking while Jocelyn fed Alexendra talking about everything that had been going on with Jocelyn and Anton’s life, she told her mother about their new house and showed her pictures of it, they talked about her new career and how she was going to handle it with the arrival of Alexendra. They just kept talking.

          It was already 1:00 in the morning when Jocelyn finally got Alexendra back to sleep, and she had to be up early, tomorrow was the day they surprised Anton’s family. As she laid Alexendra down in his bassinet, she thought about all the years she dreamed of this moment. Being able to look down upon an angel like him, knowing he came from inside her, knowing he was the best part of her and always would be.

        The alarm went off at 7:30. Jocelyn awoke with a surprise, Alexendra must of slept all night for the first time in his little life. She started to get up to turn off the alarm, when Anton reached over and turned it off first. all of a sudden she heard her mother calling from the kitchen “ Okay sleepy head’s, its time to get up so you can eat before you take off, and so grandma can spend a little more time with her little angel, before you go taking off with him again.” Somehow not only did she get a full night’s sleep, but she was now getting breakfast made for her. Anton was already up and dressed, and at the table before she could even get out of bed. Her mother made them a big breakfast, with eggs and sausage and french toast grit’s and hash browns her mother usually only cooked like this on christmas morning but she knew Jocelyn was gonna need it for breast feeding Alexendra. Her mother got Alexendra up, and changed him and got him ready for the day, while Jocelyn and Anton enjoyed their breakfast. apparently her mother had gotten up really early to have cooked all of this, Jocelyn made Alexendra enough bottles for the day, since she didn’t think it would be proper to breast feed in front of Anton’s family either. As she walked in the bedroom she found her mother in there with Alexendra rocking him and singing to him it was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen her mother and her son it was like a dream. “mom we are ready to go, except we are missing one thing my little angel” her mother turned and looked at her with a sad look on her face like Jocelyn was taking away her life line “ Already? ” her mother asked, “ Its only for a little while, we will be back here tonight, if that’s ok? ”. Her mothers frown turn into a grin quickly, “Of course it is okay! ” about that time Anton walked in “ Have you wrestled the baby from her yet? ” he laughed as he said it, “ Anton behave”, Jocelyn said “ You can have him but only because you’s are coming back tonight! ” her mother said as she smiled “But of course we are you think i’m lugging all this stuff with me today then back tomorrow, anyhow we need a bed to sleep on don’t we? ” Anton said as he laughed. They said good bye for the day as they put Alexendra in his car seat, Jocelyn’s mother gave them a big hug, and told them to drive safely.

          It was only a short drive to Anton’s mothers house but they wanted to surprise them so they left early to catch them before they woke up. “ You did at least tell them we would be in town early right? ” Jocelyn asked “ Of course I did, I think , I’m pretty sure I did” he smiled as he answered her.” oh no , you mean not only do they not know about Alexendra, but they also don’t even know we are coming today? ” she shook her head “ We are so dead”, “If they start yelling I swear I’m blaming it all on you” she said as she began to laugh “ Of course don’t you always? ” Anton answered as they both laughed. Alexendra slept the whole way there again, well at least they knew how to put him to sleep if they needed to. it was 9:00 when they pulled in the driveway and the whole place was calm and quiet no one seemed to be up yet, Anton got out first to see if the door was unlocked, as he got closer he could hear someone stirring in the house. So he came back to the car and helped Jocelyn get Alexendra out of the car and grabbed Alexendra’s stuff. 

       They tried to be very quiet as the got close to the door, Anton knocked on the door and it only took about a half a second for Anton’s little brother Ray to answer the door, “where did you come from ? ” Ray asked as he noticed who it was at the door, ” I drove duh, let us in, it’s freezing out here” Anton laughed at him as he opened the door. “where is everyone at, still in bed? ” Anton asked, “ Yes its only 9:00 in the morning where are they suppose to be and? ” he stopped as he turned around and noticed Jocelyn standing behind Anton holding a baby “ who’s kid you got? ” Ray asked “ Mine of course goofy it’s your nephew” as Jocelyn removed the blanket from Alexendra’s face “ Alexendra meet your uncle Ray”. “ Are you kidding, seriously, but mom never said anything” Ray exclaimed as he came closer to meet his new nephew for the first time. “That’s cause she don’t know yet we decided to surprise everyone for christmas” Anton explained, “Do me a favor go get mom and dad up, tell them someone is here but don’t tell them who ok” Anton added. “yea of course i want to see the look on their faces to ?” Ray laughed as he went off to wake his parent’s.

     “Hey mom, dad get up there are some people here for you! ” you could hear Ray saying from down the hall. “who is it? ” you heard his mom ask. “ I don’t know they just said they needed to talk to the both of you’s now” Ray answered. “okay tell them we will be right there” his dad yelled back “ok “ answered Ray. he came running back down the hall laughing and saying “this is gonna be so good i cant wait”. Anton start laughing” you are such a trouble maker, aren’t you? ”. “You bet i am i love this kind of stuff” Jocelyn sat in the chair facing the hall way while Anton stood behind her so that the first thing his parents seen was all three of them when they walked down the hall. The antisapation grew as they waiting knowing it would take a little bit for his parents to dress and come out it seemed like forever but it was actually only a few minutes. you could hear the door open to their bedroom and hear them walking down the hall talking to each other, “ Who do you think it is? ” asked his mother” probably a cop or something one of the boys probably got in trouble again” his dad answered her “ i hope not” he mother answered back “well if it is i have news for them i ain’t bailing them out they are all big enough to take care of themselves” his dad exclaimed just about then his mother turned the corner and her eyes met with their company’s and she stopped dead in her tracks his dad ran into her she stopped so quickly. “ what is it mom? ” his father asked as he turned to see what she was staring at. his mouth just dropped and his mother took off running towards them throwing her arms around her son who they hadn’t seen in so long it took her a second “ when did you get here? , how did you’s get here? , is everything okay ? you didn’t even call me or” once again she stopped as she turned and seen the little baby laying in Jocelyn’s arms. “Who is this little guy with you’s? ” his mother asked, “ This little guy is very special, this is Alexendra, your grandson! ” his mother’s eyes got huge and she turned white as a ghost” my grandson? ” she whispered “but you never said anything about adopting a baby? ”, “we did we had him the old fashion way” Anton and Jocelyn laughed as Anton answered his mother ” Dad are you just gonna stand there like a rock all day or come meet your grandson’s? ” it took his dad a few minutes to snap out of it “ I’m gonna come see my grandson of course are you stupid or what ?” his dad laughed as he walked into the living room, Jocelyn could see Anton’s mother Lynn’s joy  as she held Alexendra up for her to take him. Anton had to help his mother sit on the couch as she let out a sigh of happiness at the site of her new grandson “ how long you all staying? ” Taylor asked his son “ we are gonna be here till the third Jocelyn’s family is having a great big holiday get together again and she wants to stay so both family’s have time to get to know Alexendra” Anton answered. Taylor went to Anton’s brothers rooms waking everyone up to come see Anton and Jocelyn and to meet their nephew for the first time. “ dad are you on drug’s or something Anton don’t live here or have you forgot and he ain’t got no kids, I’m tired! quit trying to trick me! ” was the only response taylor got from Ryan, Anton’s middle brother. “Travis get up now come visit with your brother and Jocelyn and see their baby” taylor said, the only sound out of Travis, Anton’s oldest brother, was a light grumble. Taylor walked back to the living room and said” those boys i swear would miss the end of the earth they are so lazy”, “Don’t worry dad ill get them to get up “, Anton walked back to were his other two brothers were sleeping “ Get your lazy butt’s up and come see my son before i kick your butt’s, you hear me “ all it took was the sound of Anton’s voice and both boys were up in seconds they couldn’t believe it was him “How did you get here? what do you mean your son? you ain’t got no kid’s mom would of told everyone! ” travis exclaimed “ Not if she didn’t even know! ” Anton answered. Everyone got up and got dressed and ran to the living room to see their brother and Jocelyn and to see this new baby everyone was talking about. “So are you’s staying here while your in town? ” Lynn asked Anton and Jocelyn, “No actually we are gonna stay at Miranda’s house, Jocelyn is still healing from the labor and she needs somewhere to stay thats comfortable so Miranda’s got a spare bedroom she has given us to use while we are here,plus she wasn’t gonna let us leave in till we agreed to come back tonight, but its not that far of a drive so we will be around a lot while we are here” Anton answered “Plus you guys already have enough people here you don’t need no more and with Alexendra’s sleeping habits it is just easier to be at mom’s house, and I am breast feeding so i have to watch what i eat and make sure i eat enough to produce enough milk, Our little man has his daddy’s appetite” Jocelyn added as she laughed. It was already 10:00 by now and Alexendra was ready for his feeding as he let out scream “ He heard us mention food, see i told you just like his daddy” everyone laughed as Jocelyn finish saying that. It was strange being back home after all this time, Everyone seemed to have change so much yet, not at all it was strange indeed, Lynn called her sister’s and everyone else in the family to let them know Anton and Jocelyn was in town for the holidays and to announce the arrival of her new grandson. who she of course refused to give up to anyone while she was on the phone, “I can handle feeding a baby and talking at the same time, Thank you, I just got this little man and you ain’t taking him from me yet” she smiled as she told her son. “ok mom you can keep holding him” he started to laugh “especially when its diaper time” he added.”Anton leave your mother alone and you quit threatening her like that you have to do the diaper its your turn mister” Jocelyn teased. “So i see not only do you got a new baby but a new car as well what happen you hit the lottery or something? ”Taylor asked his son “No Jocelyn and me thought it would be more sensible to get another car with Alexendra’s arrival and all plus we needed something that would make the drive here since we plan on making more trip’s home” Anton answered his father with a big smile knowing he didn’t give his father the answer he was fishing for “Yes but the question was how did you’s get it? “ he father asked again.”Well we went down and bought it with money of course” Anon laughed “but where did you get the money is what i want to know” is father obviously getting annoyed “oh you want to know how we got the money” anton stopped to leave is father still wondering for a minute more “From Jocelyn’s new job and my new career of course” he knew he was annoying his father but he loved it so much he couldn’t help to keep him hanging on. “what new career? “ his father asked “Computer programming i got a new job at Microsoft” anton finally gave his father the answer he was digging for.”Yea right! ” all of his brothers yelled out at once, he dad just shook his head “Boy you know better than to lye like that” Anton already knew this would be their response so he came prepared “Honey would you please show these fools the paper’s in the diaper bag? “ Jocelyn just smiled at him as she reached in the diaper bag for his evidence “Here you go dear” she answered as she handed him the folder with all his work information in it, “See i knew you’s would not believe me so i brought along my work papers and badge and anything else i could think of you would need for proof including my degree” Anton laughed as he handed his father the folder. His father’s eyes got big as he looked in the folder at all of Anton’s evidence and his degree “I can’t believe it he is telling the truth, mom he really did get a degree in computer programming and he is working at microsoft” taylor told his wife “ Of course he is I always knew he would do great things if he got the chance” his mother answered. His brother’s still in disbelieve Anton didn’t know what else to do.”so how much you owe on the van out there? “ Ray asked “Nothing its paid for in full we gave cash for it” anton answered his little brother. “Well i just got off the phone with your aunt’s and your grandmother and she says we have one hour to get to her house or else, she wants to see her grandson and her new great grandson” Lynn informed everyone as she entered the living room again. “ Well we have been up since 7:30 and miranda done fed us so we are ready when ever you are” Anton told his mother. “well all i have to do is get dressed and I’m ready you boys better go get dress and hurry about it” Lynn told her other son’s “Your mother wont wait long taylor so you better go to and get a rush on it “ lynn turned to her husband with a big smile as she rushed him along to. “here you can hold him till I’m ready to go “Lynn told Jocelyn with a big smile as she handed Alexendra back to her ” Well considering our van has more room in it your more than welcome to ride with us mom so you can sit with your grandson if you want” Jocelyn told her mother in-law.”Sounds like a good idea to me” Lynn answered her. ”Then why do I got to go for if you’re riding with them” Taylor asked ”because your mom said we all have to come thats why” Lynn told her husband.”Fine” Taylor answered as he went off to get ready.
 Taylor and the boys piled into their car and Jocelyn and Anton and Lynn rode in the van with Alexendra, Lynn smiled and talked to him the whole way there it was the first time in the last two days that Alexendra didn’t go to sleep he just layed there smiling up at Lynn listening to her talking. When they arrived at Anton’s grandmothers house she was waiting for them on the porch, “Hurry up and get up here so I can see everyone and meet this new great grand baby I have heard about” his grandmother yelled as they started to open the doors, Taylor and the boys pulled in behind them just as they were getting out as well. “Mother what are you doing out here on the porch? ” Taylor asked his mother “Well you took so long I thought I would come out here to make sure you got here ok” she said smiling Jocelyn got Alexendra out of the car seat and started for the house while Anton helped his mother out of the van and grabbed the babies stuff, “here he is grandma your new great grandson Alexendra” Jocelyn said to her grandmother in-law. “Hurry up and get him in this house so I can sit down and hold him” she told Jocelyn.
