A story about a confused vampire.
I awoke with a start the air filled with the stench of garlic and human wafting on the air like a feather dances in the breeze. I got out of my stone tomb to look around and saw a man bathed in torch light. I saw my brother lying there limp on the floor in his own blood for he was not of my kin he was human and I a vampire forced to live in separate worlds, me a creature of the night and him of all the worldly things I left behind. As I snuck behind that monster that killed his own kin I thought of my brother’s life and how he held no grudge against any kin even the creatures they like to call werewolves. I slashed at his neck and cut open a deep gash and started to suck as I sucked him dry he screamed for me to get away me, and he called me a monster…. I said “You do not know of what you speak human you call me the monster yet your kin murder each other all the time, If not my lust for the feeling of blood trickling down my throat you wouldn’t be so fast to judge.”-
As he took his last breath he asked for my name and I said “I don’t know people just call me night.” The man said “Good I’ll give it to the devil to reserve a spot for you night.”
After that snack I was still thirsty for more and I left the cave to find a animal to feed off of for I hated the taste of human blood and only had it when needed. I found a nice wild boar to feast off of and I caught a glimpse of myself in the water and my dimmed feature showed how old I really was my pale skin shimmered in the water, my bald head also did.
After that feast on the young boar I was content and just wished to sleep when all of a sudden a arrow whistled by my ear and sank deep into my brothers flesh, I heard a awful sound that still haunts me to this day the sound of my brothers gurgling breaths…. And I thought to myself how selfish I was not to even check if he was alive and leave him to the wolves. Well nothing would bring him back now so I left the cave to find his assailant. As I escaped the clutches of my dark prison I call home I saw a lycan standing there with a crossbow aimed at me, that instant I knew what that man meant by I’ll tell the devil to save a place for you. That human led the lycan army to my cave. I thought to myself I have to escape or risk starting a war by my death.
As I ran through the dense tree I felt death following me where ever I went. I decided to hide in a human barn to wait out the lycan army.
As the days grew shorter I knew winter was close at hand, and yet I wasn’t worried with the farmers animals I had a unlimited supply of blood to quench my thirst. Even though the farmer got suspicious every now and again that his livestock was disappearing.
I had to see if my cave was free for it had been 2 months and I was really missing a familiar bed and the taste of a wild boars blood. I started off that night to my home and when I got there their was a lycan sleeping in my home and that crossed the line for me I took his sword and shoved it into his gut and he died with a yelp of pain. That was not all I heard though for I heard the only sound I didn’t want to, the war shouts of other lycan, so I left in a hurry to the vampire safe house in Brill.
As I told them what happened they announced to all vampires at the safe house to suit up in armor. The head vamp said “If what you said id true my son then we should expect an attack on our safe house soon…do you still have the sword that killed that lycan?”
I said “Yes I do its right here”
and he said “that shall be your sword for battle” as I was agreeing I heard a blood curdling howl in the woods “ the time has come he said”
Now that I was on the battle field my blood turned cold and I froze in place when I saw only 1 lycan standing before us, the alpha wolf. I approached him and made a deal “If you’ll just spare us and take me for I am the one that killed your scout.”
He said “Ok but we will battle to avenge the so called scout or as I call him my son.” He attacked swiftly but it only glanced of my shield, as I took aim I heard more howl’s, I realized that he had no intention of honoring our deal. In my rage I stabbed wildly at his thought. The strike had no strength to it but it slit the veins in his neck, as blood squirted all of my face I gave a cry so terrible that I heard many of the lycan run off.
As my brethren were finishing off the rest off them I snuck off to the shadows of the woods and went into hiding. And that’s were my story finishes off for I am still in hiding from my kin and the lycan for they will never stop pursuing me. The vampires for leader ship and the lycan for my blood.
