A story of a prince in the mountains of India and how his uncle conspires against him.
Long ago, A Raja of a Northern Indian kingdom faced repeated invasions from Tibetan Tribes. He had spent Expeditions there before but all had failed. One day he had an idea, he’s send his Nephew Prince Drona with the next expedition so that if it failed the Prince would die and there would be no opposition to his own so when his time to become the Raja came.
The Prince, barely 14 ears of age led the poorly equipped force of 3000 men. As the Prince was very bright he realized that his uncle had tricked him by giving him fresh recruits with no experience and no proper equipment. He still marched on.
2 weeks later they reached the snowy peaks beyond the holy town of Kedarnath. He had information that there was a Tibetan fort ahead so he made camp nearby.
The next morning their camp was struck by the Tibetans. They were outnumbered and already the troops were demoralized by the extreme cold. So even as they had the advantage of height, they were defeated. The Prince had fought bravely but now lied bloodied near his tent. The Tibetans thought he was dead so they took his belongings and left.
Soon a Tibetan Peasant found Drona. He treated his wounds and took the Prince to his village. The Prince started to live there. One day he got to know that the entire Royal family in his kingdom had been assassinated but the conspirators had been found and persecuted. So he went thanked the Tibetans and went back. His uncle’s conspiracy had saved him. He ruled the kingdom wisely and it prospered.
