Ram is a small boy who lived in the street of a city in South India. He is an orphan of age 5. He lived by the road side and earned his living by working as a cleaner in a hotel. his daily wage was Rs.10 and he managed to fill his stomach with that money.

Years passed,from cleaner,Ramu became a tea boy in that hotel. Near that hotel, was a tennis court where big players come for practising tennis. Ramu used to watch it while working and whenever the ball comes near the hotel, he picks up and throws back to them,he liked this work and as a part time work,he did that.

Ramu is now 10 years old and he wanted to learn tennis,but what to do?! he’s a tea boy ofcourse. But,he didnt give up. he told about his wish to the people who come to the court and most people made fun of him and some even thrashed him for being a street boy. These hurt ramu a lot! But he didnt lose heart.Whenever he hears hurting words,he thinks about his past life and satisfies that he’s placed in a much better position in society now.

Ramu’s positive attitude didnt end. One day, an old man was practising tennis and when the ball reached the hotel side, the old man went to pick up the ball and was about to fall.Ramu saw this,ran towards the old man and got hold of him and prevented him from falling. The oldman was very much impressed with ramu’s helping mentality and he thanked Ramu and now ramu told the man about his wish. The old man immediately gave his racket to ramu and taught him how to play and Ramu, being a passionate boy of tennis quickly picked it up from that man.

The oldman was impressed by the way Ramu learned tennis and from ten, Ramu spent his leisure time with the old man in playing tennis. Now, ramu’s become a very good tennis player and the oldman introduced Ramu to many people he knew and Ramu now became a full time tennis player!

He’s become so famous in the city that big coachers approched him and trained him. He attended national level games and won most of the matches although it was tough at the beginning. Many newsmedia interviewed him and he told them “Positive attitude and hard work are the reasons for my success”. Ramu’s popularity started to move around the world through internet and other means,a lot of fans came for him. Ramu reached the hill of fame and he remained simple and humblew and got several championship awards!
