How a little bird cheered me up.
Today was a kind of sad and gloomy day. I have not found a job as of yet and that weighs heavy on me; and the gas prices! Oh boy, do I get a headache thinking about that! All the news on TV seems to be all bad; weather, earthquakes, wars-Oh Mama! As I was sitting in the living room, I happened to look up from my thoughts of gloom, and spotted the first robin of the spring, a sure sign winter is on the way out! The sound of the little red-breasted bird singing cheered me up so fast that for awhile, all the troubles in my world melted away. So, I thought, maybe things couldn’t be so bad if a little bird could sit on a cold snowy branch and sing like that when the cold winds of the season, when winter has not yet let us free of his icy-cold grip, then surely there’s proof that God is still in control, and there’s hope for this world yet.
