Hold my breath as I pray for death, on please God help me
(one by metallica)
“Why am I here?”
have you ever asked yourself that question when something happens to you and you just can’t get out of it.
people will always ask “Why me?” and “What if.” when something happens to them.
there are no coincidences, some things in life you just can’t escape, call it fate, call it destiny, call it the hand of god.
i had a good life once, a job and a family, it felt like a dream, but dream have a nasty habits of going bad when you’re not looking.
we live in a small house with fences, trees on the yard and a small pond out back, i can still see it, i can still smell it, i picture it clearly in my mind while everything fades.
“Wake him up!”
and i return to the hard harsh reality, i woke up with an aching pain throughout my body, i was strapped to a chair, my arms and legs were bound by wires and my eyes shut.
when they remove my blindfold i could see peoples standing in the shadow of the flickering light.
loud harsh voices throws their accusation at me, mentioning names i never knew, places i never go, and things i never do.
for every denial i made they dunk me in freezy water, put a helmet on my head and banging at it with a hammer, i don’t know which will take me first, insanity or death.
i could never rest my weary body, they deprived me from sleeping until i don’t know is it night or day.
they’ve repeat the process for God knows how long.
and here i am at the end of my rope, still bind to the chair.
one of them came and hand me a piece of blank paper and told me to sign them.
“What have i done wrong?”
“We’ve gone through that already.”
“Who are you people?”
“it doesn’t matter.”
and suddenly the harsh reality faded and i can see my home, my wife and my son, the smell of a freshly mowed lawn and the warm morning sun.
“he’s gone.”
“leave him, get me the next one.”
