A story from A Galaxy Far, Far Away.

Once upon a time on a galaxy a thousand light years away from our home planet, a distant star flickering in the evening sky had been endowed with that fiery glow as it never did before. On Earth, it was a time placed at about 3 B.C. and on the night sky of a land which shall in time be called by the name it has to be known, three wise men from far out places where conferring upon themselves a sign from the heavens. It couldn’t be ascertained if these three wise men were endowed with gifts of mental telepathy to agree upon them what would be the most common thing to do. As for such period, cellular phones were a fantasy. But as the books tell the story, the three men met upon a place and agreed on a journey where that magical star should lead them.
Right into the heart of that flickering star on a galaxy a thousand light years away, a planet was actually dying. Technology had been quite advanced and the intelligent minds leading the inhabitants of this planet have agreed upon one thing. Their existing science couldn’t avert the impending disaster of their home planet as such they could only devise a means of escape to save their race and hope for it to start a new beginning on any habitable planet within their solar system. Spaceships had been loaded with every specimen of plants and animals as their planet awaits her doom, orbiting to the fiery clutches of the sun. The remaining population depending upon social status managed to get aboard remaining spaceships to be spared from unimaginable harm, the helpless majority were left to address the issue of the chaos owing to the rising temperature and millions have already perished, scorched to their deaths.
Back to Earth, the three wise men were able to rest upon a designated place as the shining star has led them at the peak her glow. It was a horse stable where a pregnant woman and her husband were led to spend the night. Other people dressed like shepherds were also there to welcome the birth of a very important personality centuries hence. Hours passed and a baby cry could be heard in the midst of the night. Outside, the glowing star seemed to have used up its purpose. . .a burnt up mass of matter made up of her living residents deprived of life, now turned to ashes. Some million lives wasted, a distant star, now dead. For every life taken, a new one comes to birth. But this new life in exchange was exemplary to merit some million lives on a distant planet or the planet herself. This life, set to be pure and perfect which in time was destined to be shed for the lives of all, a life force of a star.
I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year ahead, my Triond friends, everyone. We could all reflect upon the burning stars on the clear evening sky and be thankful that we live life watching it glow from afar. Our time will come to “glow” and be watched from afar, for if life imitates life, it could be for a new beginning…or end.
