The story of a cat named Abby, a smart cat indeed.
Most cats will not try to play with dogs, or come when called. But Abby does. Abby is a short haired gray tabby who is strangely intelligent. She can do tricks, can differentiate between family members and responds to two names. I don’t think that this is normal cat behavior. She can stand up on her hind legs, roll over, come, sit and stay, all on one command. If told to go find mom, she will run and find her. If the family member in question is not home at the time, then she becomes confused and finds something else to do until you capture her attention again. She will come running at either Abby or Little Lady, her nickname. She takes care of her slightly deranged brother, Tobby, making sure that he doesn’t get himself into too much trouble, much like a human sister. She also plays with a dog, Tess, by running in between her legs until Tess becomes confused and leaves her alone. She also baits Tess by climbing on to a banister and playing with her tail, looking much like a raccoon. It seems to be very obvious that Abby is not a regular cat.
