In the seventies there were two important national parks in Uganda which are Rwenzori National Park in the North of Uganda and Mbarara in the South of Uganda. Rwenzori National Park is close to the Sudanese border and Mbarara is close to the Rwandese border.

National Parks are part of the cultural heritage of a country and a main source of income from tourism gains. In the seventies, Beatrice at eight years old visited two national parks in Uganda which are Rwenzori National Park and Mbarara National Park. Uganda is in East Africa and there is the equator zone that goes it that marks the border between the North and the South. The Rwenzori National Park in the province of Gulu had the many tourist entries from all over the world especially to see the elephants and rhinos whereas the Mbarara National Park is famous for the Lake where pink flamingos live with hippos. Children should be taken to National Parks to see how animals are doing. The flamingos for example come from Belgium and fly back to Europe in Spring therefore they take with them some seeds and that is how you can see fruits like lime growing in Greece.
