A short story of an accident.

She was driving home from work, only one exit away from her house. It was about 10 pm and the traffic had slowed due to some construction. She drove about 10 miles per hour in the right hand lane right next to the exit lane.

Bam! A car going way to fast to realize the slow down hit her from the rear. She hit the car in front of her, which cause her to get knocked into the exit lane causing a car to hit her from the side.

She took the worst of all the damage to the four cars involved. Her car was totalled. Yet, she walked away without a single scratch. Luckily no one in the accident was hurt at all.

This is what happened to my sister-in-law on Saturday when she was on her way home from work. My brother called me to give me the news. The kicker in the whole story is the fact that this car was actually mine. I had leant it to them for the past year or so because I didn’t need a second car.

She was really nervous that I would be upset, but really I was just glad she was ok. Material things are replaceable, life is not.

Good on you dude – for not getting upset – these things happen. Reminds me of when I had a work colleague borrow my car for a day – I had only had it a week. I said not a friggen scratch or I kill you. 5 minutes later he comes back – car nearly totalled. He was rear ended and pushed into the car in front. He was petrified I was going to kill him – all I could do was laugh.

Yes, she is definitely more important than the car. I’m glad she’s okay and wasn’t hurt in the wreck.

As long as she is okay, that’s all that matters. Cars can be fixed. That’s what insurance is for.

    you\’re very nice… thank God she’s ok!

As a former Emergency Medical Technician I can clearly define and picture this accident. She was a very lucky individual.
Many people are severely hurt or even die in vehicle accicents each day. True that the car can be replaced many times but life is irreplaceable. Very interesting and a clearly defined article.
