The match had been brutal and had almost cost him his life and he hadn’t heard from Bianca or anyone else since he made the choice to fight a death match. It was Thursday morning and Ace was getting ready for college and his mum came up to him and said “are you sure you will cope at school in your condition” Ace nodded and replied “yes mum I will be fine ok, see you when I get home” Ace walked out to where he caught the bus and saw Max and called out “hey what you doing here” Max spun around and said “I will tell you in the car”. The two walked over and hopped into the skyline and drove off steadily and after a few minutes Max said “so I know who set you up the other day” Ace’s eyes opened wide and he clenched his fast and hissed “who was it” Max swallowed and said “it was Bianca and I know it is hard to believe but it is true” there was silence in the car the rest of the way down to Bianca’s.

Once they had reached Bianca’s Ace jumped out the car and ran upstairs and yelled out “Bianca where are you” Bianca rushed downstairs and said “Ace you should be resting” he replied “look I know you set me up so please tell the truth” Bianca’s jaw feel open and she said “I didn’t set you up Ace I do care about you” Ace looked at Max and said “she says she didn’t set me up so I believe her and I just think you want Bianca for yourself’ and with that Ace clenched his fist and punched Max in the face breaking his jaw. Ace then preceded to grab max’s arm and twist it in a circular motion till he felt the bone crack around his hand. Ace walked upstairs as Max screamed and everyone in the lounge room turned around to see what had just unfolded and Bianca screamed “everyone out now I need time to calm Ace down before he takes his anger out on someone else”.

Everyone hurried out the house grabbing Max and dragging him out with them; Bianca made her way upstairs slowly wondering why Ace was acting like this. She found Ace lying on the bed staring out the window with his fists clenched so tight that his knuckles white. She made her way over to the bed and whispered “is everything ok with you” Ace sat up and just looked at her and said “look me in the eye and tell me you didn’t set me up” Bianca looked Ace directly in the eyes and said “I didn’t set you up Ace otherwise why would I help you” Ace replied “I don”t know” Bianca whispered “when you calm down you should apologise to Max” Ace nodded and laid back down and stared out the window. Ace vowed to himself to never let his guard down again and promised himself that he would find out who set him up and he would make them pay for the pain they caused. Ace called out “stay in here with me I don’t want to be alone” Bianca smiled and sat back down on the bed and said “of course I will stay”.
