My trip to Ecuador and all of my findings and experiences. The story is told as though one is actually standing there in Ecuador.
The frightening event was of who gets what cabin and then who sleeps on what bunk. My selfish nature decided to take charge and I kindly demand the top bunk. Although easily receiving the very top bunk was cool, the noises heard at night quickly made the top bunk exquisitely regrettable. The violent words chosen to describe those loud noises do not need to be repeated. Night ends and I wake up in the early morn to see a beautiful and radiant sunrise. The colors are so bright and wonderful to my eyes that I rub them to see if I am still sleeping. My loving soul feels how much extreme imagination was taken to create such an extraordinary scene. Lying in bed I realize that nothing can ever be as fascinating as the sunrise in a domesticated foreign country. I am now seeing the specific details to the landscape and variety of texture and color make the magnificent landscape feel spiritual and artistic.
My enhanced senses make way to the cafeteria again. I smell roasted garlic chicken with barbecue sauce, cooked steaming quail, and boiled vegetables with a seasoning to add taste. I am eating a meal fit for a prince. I see everyone crowded around me eating ferociously like animals but as humanly as possible. The water and tea made were perfect and clean enough to drink. My long but happily enjoyed stay here is sending good shivers down my spine because in all my life I have never experienced something quite like this and God is speaking to me right now through the sparkling sun and clear blue skies saying “ I made this for you Samuel because I love you.”
