Defeating evil aliens while learning that you have actually defeated yourself.

“Now is my chance,” I thought to myself. I opened my eyes. I was lying on a cold crystal table. Their psychosis hadn’t worked on me, and if what the alien was thinking was right, then I knew just how to stop these bastards.
I jumped up from the table and crouched down under an observation window. “Should I run straight down the hall at full speed, or should I play it safe and sneak their,” I asked myself. “Better play it safe! God knows what they would do to me if they caught me out of my room.”
I pressed the button on the wall that activated the door. The door slid open with a “Wussh.” I waited a few seconds in case someone had heard the sound. Figuring it was safe, I escaped the room and started running down the curved halls of the ship. Getting to the location that was in the alien’s thoughts, who had been probing my mind, was easy. I approached the power terminal and entered the button sequence I remembered from the shared vision. “Why would the alien think of this during the psychosis?” I figured it was his job as the ships engineer and he was thinking about what not to do.
After I entered the code, the ship began to shake and started to make a loud humming sound. I figured it would be about thirty seconds until I was blown to hell along with these alien bastards; enough time to think back about how all this had started:
It was late one Saturday night. After one too many beers, I started to feel sorry for myself and began to walk into the street. I had walked a pretty good ways from my house and my eyes had been fixed on the sky the whole time. It was a beautiful night to be out for a walk. Something caught the corner of my eye, so I threw it a glance. What I saw blew my mind. It was a giant space ship coming right at me. I stood still as it hovered over my head and then, within a blink of an eye, I was onboard.
The aliens looked just like you would have imagined them. They had long necks and arms with a skinny core. They had massive heads and eyes but no mouth. They probed my brain with their psychic powers, trying to find out everything they could about Earth people. I was receiving thoughts from them too. They were a recon ship sent to Earth to gather information on how to destroy us. I fell to my knees from the pain they were causing me from reading my thoughts. I guess they decided I had enough, so they knocked me out with a psychic pulse.
The next time they read my thoughts, I faked that I was in pain and when they tried to knock me out it didn’t work. That was when I had found out how to destroy the ship from one of the aliens.
The humming sound from the ship turned into more of a police siren sound. I started to see a hint of blue and red flashing lights. When I turned around, I saw two cops approaching me. I turned back around and I was standing at a Bank of America ATM.
“Where the fuck am I,” I told the cops.
“You’re outside Bank of America. Someone driving by called us in saying they had seen a strange person at the bank. Are you under the influence of any drugs?” The cop was staring at me like I was crazy.
“No sir. I was just onboard an alien ship where I tried to over load their power supply and blow them up. I learned how to do it when I had intercepted one of their thoughts when they were probing my brain,” I was serious.
“Ok man, be cool. Is it alright if I search you?” The cop had a positive look on his face.
“Sure, no problem; I don’t have nothing.”
The cop starts padding my pants; he starts with the back pockets and moves to the front.
“What’s this?” He said with a dangerous look on his face.
“I don’t know?” Having no idea if their was something in my pockets, since I just got off a alien space ship.
“This is a half ounce of mushrooms!” He was very angry.
The site of the shrooms brought back scrambled memories of a big party that I was at before I had started drinking by myself. Had I really eaten all those shrooms by myself at that party? If I was at a party, why did I go home to drink by myself? How did I end out on the street alone, I live with three people? The only reasonable answer I could think of was:
“The aliens planted that their!” And I was serious.
