ALONG THE CORRIDOR
By: Krista Margau F. Udan
It was Monday morning when I first saw this student walking along the corridor. I’d never saw him before and definitely he is not familiar to me. I found out that he is a new comer. After a week, I noticed that my friends and my other classmates were all eyes to him. I started to wonder and ask myself what things made him so unique above all.
One late afternoon, when I was walking at the court, I saw him with his bad and I didn’t expect that he would take a glance at me. I can’t look at him straight because i’m shy and I’m not comfortable lookign in a guy’s eyes. I had noticed that he was staring at me that time so I felt so irritated with his looks. At night, I can’t sleep because I can’t explain why I was always thinking of this person. I didnt want to admit that I was starting to admire him.
As his friends shared to me that he was kind, friendly and gentleman, my heart melted. Maybe I had met the person that I will love for the rest of my life, that moment we were still kids & not yet reached the stage of being a teenager. Years had passed, many things had happened and came our way that I never expected to happen.
Until we reached this time, we are already teenagers and still here going strong. All I thought was he never knew me before, that for him I was just nothing, and that I am a person who will never be a part of his life but that thought was wrong when this thing happened.
When we reached highschool life, I didn’t expect that he would be one of my friends. We were always talking through phone; we chat; talked and talk. I enjoyed his company everytime he was having fun with me. Honestly, I was still shy at him. But all he did was to get close to me like a best friend. That time, I realized that having friends are really nice and it’s cool to have lots of friends.
We had started to reveal our likes and dislikes. We understand our special feelings for each other and until we finally came to know we hadthe same vibration. We had loved each other since the time we had been close and became friends. He is a kind of person who will stay with you in your darkest days.
Normally, teenagers are still going to the point they have to face in the future. He usually says “ITS FREE TO DREAM…“When I’m sad he will try his best just to cheer me up in his own way and there are lots of things we are compatible with.
Is he my soulmate? Maybe yes. I had read a book that goes ” Soulmates are not perfect but soulmates brings out the best in you ”
Happy moments and sad moments helped me to change and with his help. All of these happened and it brought me happiness and contentment. It had all begun all along the corridor.
