If you forget to bring an umbrella when you go out in a rainy day, you are likely to get wet or even a cold. If you miss a chance by a wrong decision, you may feel regret for the rest of your life. To be an infallible human being is almost next to asking you to plunge from a 20-storey window and spring back through the same window. We can have a joke that the mistakes we made in the past are good for us to recall when we are old. Now let’s read a make-believe story that may leave you wanting more.
Before Hosun goes to work, he must head for Steven’s restaurant to take breakfast. Even at lunchtime, Hosun is also welcome there because he worked in the vicinity. Strictly speaking, Steven can be reminiscent of his memory at the campus 15 years ago. That may be the real reason why he often visits him more than he consumes at the diner. They were alumni among others. CHOW Hang-Cheang, Steven, was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Before he turned middle-thirties, he was quite gallant. Afterwards, he settled down with a huggable family. It is a new Steven full of filial piety and he is so determined to shine his ability in making catering business. He told Hosun not to be obsessed with the past. Let bygones be bygones. Neither of them can locate the old faces in the alma mater. They are lost to each other.
Mr. Woo, the Korean student as well as the member of Whole Earth Club, was right and he could predict that Hosun was able to graduate from university. Every time he remembered that Hosun told him what was meant by woo, he could not help laughing. This 5-feet-10-inch-tall man was cool and he recognized Andy Lau, a famous movie star in Hong Kong. Meanwhile, Mr. Woo who is thirty-five years old is a general manager of a multinational corporation, managing over a thousand staff and rolling in it. It is swell. Hosun is so proud of his career.
The first lady Hosun met when he arrived in the United States was tender and adorable. The alumna was LAW Ku-Ming, Michelle, whose smile was unforgettable and whose sincerity to friends was cordial. Hosun and Michelle hit it off from the start. Perhaps they had not come across many other companions yet. To fill in the gap of loneliness, a robust man, Chris Lam, appeared to catch her eyes. The chemistry between them was very soon created but it did not divert her study. Actually, she got 4 points of GPA while she was learning how to drive from Chris. Attaining a driving license and buying a red sports car, she drove Hosun, Virginia and Jessica to a café to celebrate her success. Of course, Chris would not be omitted. It was a heavy meal and they all enjoyed it. Chris was a sophisticated fellow and he always knew the philosophy of life. He was smart and had acumen to solve any problem.
