The giant must let Nessa choose her path in life, but at the cost of humanity?

Nessa looked at hideous monster and stood just feet from it.  As it slowly erected itself to it’s full height, it looked around it and spotted the girl.  The creature said nothing, but grunted and took a step toward her.  Faltering a little bit, Nessa stepped back, but continued to gaze at the enormous being.  It’s eyes were completely hallowed out and only black pits stared at her.  Smiling, it lowered it’s great head to eye level with Nessa.

“So you are it?” grunted the creature in a distasteful manner as he scanned her up and down with a disappointed eye.  Nessa choked on her own air, unable to breath or take in what was happening in that very moment, but found she was not afraid of the being.  “Well, girl…answer me?” It asked again.  She was confused to what she had to answer, but before she could say anything, the other winged giant that stood behind the leader of the pack swept Nessa in his great arms.

The leader had for warned him about not meddling in Free Will, but he had no choice.  The innate being of who he was and how he was made, compelled him to do the utterly forbidden.  He intercepted the beast’s advance on taking Nessa by force and shielded the girl with his enormous body.  She felt the arms round her waist and felt a great breeze as she could see from the side of her eye that the being spread his golden wings.

Awed by the great beauty, she saw his wing span.  The wings curved, creating a barrier between them and the monster.  It roared in utter fury and opened it’s mouth where little black demons poured out of it’s mouth.  Nessa glanced up, watching the leader back away from the fight and questioned why he was not helping.  He slowly turned awar from the them and motioned for the others to follow. Others stood there, quiet and confused, but the leader shook his head again.
