The Scythian armies are stopped and attacked by savage moutain barbarians. Meanwhile foreign armies from the plains march onwards.

The bandit leader Onirbon moved his base to the Himalayan foothills due to the better space available for attacks and ambushes there. He had asked for help from the two tibetan raider tribes, one controlled by Porshob and one owned by Ornob.”Hey,ye mountain savage! How much do ye think we shall make?”, asked Porshob to Onirbon. “With ‘em Scythian fools, they’d be carrying supplies and gold worth the entire Indus.”, replied Onirbon.

Meanwhile, Apparajyte called some of his family and fellows from the East. Moreover, he got more slaves and ornaments. Also, his cousin came over.

Finally, the schythians reached the foothills. But they were faced with a surprise. “Move faster, you cheap scum!”, said Aunuj. Suddenly, thousands of mountain bandits shot arrows from behind the trees. “Sire! Sire!, the Bandits! We are attacked!”, said the servant of Aunuj. Aunuj jumped out of his chariot and he saw scenes of extreme bloodshed. He quickly took out his sword and slashed at a short mountain man. Unmoved by the towering figure of Lord Aunuj, the mountain man simply blocked his huge swrod with a small but effective shield. From behind him, one of ‘em shot an arrow, the bolt hit Aunuj in the arm, he fell. A similar situation was happening in most of the scene. Soon, the mountain bandits had made off with more than a hundred kilograms of gold and precious things worth a hundred more. This was just one raid, the mountain men attacked another dozen places as such.

“Disastrous!, shouted Neilern. “We only lost three thousand men though, and a thousand kilo worth of gold and stuff. We can still strike.”, said Amöl. “Just a thousand? We better raid good now!”, replied Lord Aunuj. The meeting ended with almost nothing achieved. On the other hand, Onirbon,Porshob and Ornob were sparkling with delight.

General Ashwindre had heard about what happened, but he also knew about Ryshab. He allied with him to conquer. Ryshab’s army had reached the Kumaon. He sacked many local villages. But while Ryshab was away, one of his generals, Roubin took control of the kingdom. He’d been overthrown, Ryshab was extremely sad. He decided to first complete his raids and then with the money make an even more gigantic army. He would have the support of Ashwindre.

At the night, Apparajyte’s Caravan was resting at Dronus’s capital fort,Ni-Naunin. But by that time, Emperor Amöl’s army had reached the region, the news of their attacks reached Dronus. The messenger arrived, “My leige! My leige!”, said the exhausted messenger. “Go on.”, said Dronus. “Sire, I bring grave news, hordes of Indo-Scythians have arrived, they burnt down Sipkit and Linchuan. All were killed, now they’re coming for the mine. Our King has run to Teeri, leaving behind only three hundred men to guard Sri-Nagar,which is soon to fall. You are one of the most powerful Lords of this kingdom, now only your clan can save the capital.

By Dawn, the Indo-Sythian Army arrived. They amassed near the fort of Dronus. 20 huge ballistas from China, recently imported, were on the walls. The shot indiscriminately. Hundreds of Scythian Swine fell.

But there were too many, Apparajyte’s Bangla Merceneries rode outside to cut down the Sythian Cavalry. But they were outnumbered three to one. So Dronus sent his trusted Clansmen out. They surrounded the Scythian Infantry.

Meanwhile, Scythian Boys started climbing ladder,it was a lost Endeavour. The mountain men simply pushed them down. But several dozens were able to breach a section of the wall to the east. Thousands more started climbing the same way. Dronus ordered his men to close the breach. But too many Scythians had seemed to have crossed in, but the Battle was still on.
