Archie a ll year old Lhasa Apso has had a terrible year. Mouth full of bad teeth and hair getting into his mouth.
Archie is an eleven year old Lhasa Apso and so far this year has had most of his teeth out by the vet and xrays galore on his mouth following dental treatment.
His owner always ensures that he is innoculated every year and regularly visits the vets for ear problems. He visits the dog grooming parlour on a monthly basis as he hair grows very quickly and he becomes knotted. He has his grooming session regularly and always comes home feeling the better for it.
Although he has his regular check ups at the vets no-one ever mentioned his teeth. Earlier on this year he was thoroughly miserable and the vet was advised of this at his annual check up. It took his grooming maid to advise his owner that he had a mouthful of wrotting teeth. When his owner took him to the vets he had to have most of his teeth out.
Once heeled he seemed to be a lot happier but them began to constantly scatch at his mouth, he was xrayed and checked over but nothing could be seen to be wrong with him.
It suddenly dawned on his owner that his hair was rather long around his mouth and with all the gaps where his teeth had been taken out his hair was always in his mouth and he was constantly scratching at it to get it out. Now Archie is a very happy little Lhasa Apso as his hair is closely cut around his mouth to stop this happening again.
