A Short story I wrote for my english coursework, it is loosely based on the video game assassins creed.

The Wind swept through the narrow lanes, and the moon shone high in the midnight sky. Not a soul was out on this night as the stranger rode into town. His horse was a deep shade of brown with a white patch stretching from its side to its mane. The man was clothed in pure white not a single stain and his hood covered most of his face, all that was visible was a small patch of facial hair shaped into a point. Across his back lay a dagger in a silver and gold sheath and four small blades were strung across his side.

He dismounted his horse and tied it to a post. As he walked towards the illuminating glow of the tavern, he looked around as if he were thinking about escaping. The door swung open as he entered and he approached the bar. He waved to the barman and the barman came over.

“G’Day sir what can I do for ya’?”

“Do you have a room for the night?” the stranger grunted.

“Sure but it’ll cost ya’” pronounced the barman.

“Alright” grumbled the stranger already reaching for his bag of coins.

The stranger dropped 5 gold coins onto the bar and snatched the key from the barkeep. He walked towards the stairs but then stopped; something caught his attention in the side of his eye. A small man was being shoved and bullied by a group of drunken guards. He turned around and watch the scene for a little while watching the little man plea to the guards while they pushed and attacked him. After watching enough the stranger walked over calmly and stood between the guards and their “prey”.

One of the guards approached the stranger and told him, “Shove off maggot, your breaking up the fun!” The stranger said nothing and stayed still. The guard repeated “I said SHOVE OFF!” pushing the stranger into a group of vacant chairs. The stranger stood up shaking his head, and returning to his original point in front of the cowering man. The guard’s eyes lit up in a blaze and he began swinging a flurry of violent drunken punches aimed at the stranger’s face. The stranger countered the attack by gripping the mans arm and throwing him into the chairs that were still vacant from the strangers encounter with them. He grabbed the fearful man and threw him over one of is shoulders and ran outside. He removed the rope that held the horse tight and slung the man onto the saddle and told him to ride out of the city. The Stranger turned around to be struck across the head with a broken chair leg.
