In this bit of fiction one Japanese auto company representative tries to get congress and the senate to pass a law that requires a stern automobile safety inspection every three years. They really want everyone to be forced to buy a new car every time theirs fails the inspection. Here is what happens when one Senator catches on.

Automobile Industry Regulations Senator

Automobile indrustry regulations Senator Jackson stood up behind his desk as a cowboy just in town from a cattle drive. He leaned forward and said, “Mr you can say what ever you please. It’s just that I do not need any political donations from the same folk who killed my great grandfather in Hawaii at Pearl Harbor.folk who killed my great grandfather in Hawaii at Pearl Harbor. My ranch holds enough influence back home to keep me politically powerful enough in the Texas Pan Handle to never fear some imported political power.” Why is every automobile company supposed to be honest?

Automobile Industry Regulations Rich

The automobile industry regulations rich automobile company president Mr. Rice-irony frowned as he said, “Sir it sure is a good thing that the rest of the politicians I’ve visited here in Washington couldn’t deny some bribery. They have all proclaimed their agreement on this law as it will save your country from bankruptcy. Congressman Potter even said that having people buy more cars made in America will increase your government’s tax income. Congressman Wiesel strictly said our factories would employ more men and America would have to pay Less unemployment benefits to the citizens. You just seam to be the only one in the Senate that would hold out on my automobile company.” Why can politicians get controlled?

Automobile Industry Regulations Senator

Automobile industry regulations Senator Jackson punched his left hand before saying, “It’s not going to do us, let alone the world, to be forced to purchase a cheaply made new car every three years. I don’t care how much financial power your country has gained. The world needs to go back to the old economic theory that the best car sells more. I’m never going to be forced into selling my 2009 Chevy Silver-ado three quarter ton pickup in order to buy some quarter ton weakling from your country.” Why should campaign expenses control votes?

Automobile Industry Regulations Rich

The autobobile industry regulations rich Japanese gentleman grinned to himself as he said, “Senator the automobile outlook your mind is stuck with has disappeared now that we have bought out your failed auto companies. The United States is now going to have to convert their feelings into the ones my people have on our island.” Why should automobile production be controlled by only one nation?

Automobile Industry Regulations Senator

The automobile industry regulations Senator stood back and glanced at the picture on his desk of the herd of cattle back home. He then was able to grin ans say, “Import master your kind of cheapness is done. Our country needs to start thinking of their cars just like the cattle ranchers in Texas think about their herds.” He slapped his hands together and said, “You dingbats think the models got to depreciate in performance and safety every year to save some money in putting them together. It’s just too bad no rancher is in charge because he would want his herds to be better cattle every year and his herd would have to be better than the ones in the ranches surrounding his so they would sell for a higher price. You have just allowed me to make up my mind in this situation. I’m going to use the TV news system and the Internet to convince my fellow American population that they should just keep their cars until a better one is made. With that quick draw passed you might as well make it back to Japan and leave us alone. Why should anyone stop thinking like they usually do?
