Aisha Juma is a lady in her late forties, a single mom, self employed who found herself in a great tragedy which swept off everything she owned overnight. She is now helpless waiting for Good Samaritan to help her.

One morning, Aisha woke up to a wonderful sunny day as usual, prepared her children for school and herself to go to her business. Aisha lived in Mbagala area in Dar es salaam City, she owned a 2 bed roomed house and one room business area. Aisha was involved in a mini grocery store business, selling all kinds of food and vegetables, fruits and some small domestic provisions. Aisha had 3 children in grade 2, 4 and 7, all going to a local primary school around the area of Mbagala.

Soon after she escorted her children to school, Aisha walked to her business premises, which was just 100 meters from her home and opened her business for the day. Business was fair as usual with customers coming to buy their provision for the day as usual. Aisha was blessed in the area as she had very few competitors nearby, so she enjoyed permanent customers who lived near her grocery store. Basically, these customers were practically locked with Aisha’s business due to easy access, availability of goods, good communication and speed of delivery. They did not see a reason for them to shift to other groceries assuring Aisha of her daily income that way.

Mbagala area is a newly developed suburbs very high density area where people of standard income to low income earners reside. Mbagala is a complex area with many uses including residential, industrial and army camp, all within the same area.

Suddenly, during the afternoon hours when business was picking up, Aisha heard a big and loud blast, not knowing what is it, she blessed herself and continued with business. But people around had already started panicking running all over the area, she decided to close the business for a while and wait and see what was going on. Soon after the first blast, the second explosion came which was even nearer her residential house, and then continuous explosions continued, it was complete chaos, everybody running not knowing where to go, they just ran for their lives. Aisha joined the majority, she ran and ran, very fast until she found herself in Sinza area! She was explaining to one   journalist who was talking to her. Sinza area is located about 30 km. from Mbagala area! After stopping for air she then realized she was actually in Sinza! Very far away from Mbagala, and then she started to retrace her steps back to Mbagala. Reaching there, she was received by yet another blow, all her places, the residential and the business place were all down, flat, as if nothing was ever there. The blasts were bombs and rockets which exploded accidentally from the Mbagala army base. It was unclear was caused the explosions. Aisha was helpless, she started crying, it was late evening, none of her children were back home, she started looking for them. She spent hour looking for them, fortunately she found them safe in school under teachers’ supervision.

Aisha took her children and went back to what was her home. She found some rugs and they made a bed outside and slept, with nothing to each not shelter for the cold night. Next morning was even harder for Aisha, she had to feed her children but she had nothing. Mbagala area was in shambles, nothing moved except for cries and running for survival. Aisha just sat there waiting for some miracle to happen; she had nothing left, absolutely nothing, no house to live in, no food, no school for her children no business to go to. She was waiting for some good Samaritan to come and rescue her.
