A short story about the joys and advantages of family told from the perspective of an oldest child of a large family.

Some people think that being in such a large family is nothing but a bunch of mayhem and trouble, no doubt at times it can be but there are times when it is like having a slice of heaven.

Like when Christmas comes around and  you cannot see the bottom of the tree for all of the gifts both bought and made.  Or when you have almost  ten birthday cards and that’s just  from the people that live in your  house!  There is something to be said about having so many brothers and sisters.

Having a big family guarantees that you will never know what it feels like to be truly alone, you will never know what it feels like to have to go through pain and suffering alone. Throughout all the slamming of doors, reading of others diaries. I would not trade it for anything. I know that when my life comes to an end that I will always have my brothers and sisters no matter what life may throws my way.
