A story of an inner city eager teen that made it through the struggle by any means necessary.
Black Frost pg.14
“Chow time, chow time, fix ya bunks and wash ya nasty face and hands! Chow time, chow time,” C.O Wilson hollered out on purpose, hitting each cell door with his clip board knowing almost everybody in lock up was half dead sleeping in the cave like cells. The night i got shot at the Cameo i slipped into a six month coma and woke up in the youth detention center hospital with I.Vs in my arms. Doctors was amazed how fast I recovered mentally as well as physically being that one bullet entered the top of my skull and exited my neck. They said the shooter must have shot me on the top of my head when i fell to the ground.
I couldn’t believe what happened to me. One minute I was on top and the next I was at rock bottom. My soul was full of anger. My own mother told on me. Turned me in over Devon bitch ass. There was another key witness that ratted but the courts marked the name out on my motion of discovery. I felt like who ever shot me sent me to jail as well.
It was scorching hot lock up. I hadn’t heard from the girls in two months. Been locked up for a year straight. I ended up in lock up for having a fight with one of Gunz and Fade people. I guess ole boy thought I was soft. I laughed about the two second fight as the four Silver back C.Os dragged me up out of the library and threw me in the hole.
I thought to myself,” damn Gunz and Fade sending chumps like that to do they dirty work! I’m gonna be alright. That over right hand and that upper cut put boy down like he got hit with a tranquilizer gun! If he hadn’t fell up against the metal library desk and knocked his teeth out I probably would of gotten like a year in lock up instead of two. I stayed to myself while i was locked up so I guess dude thought I wouldn’t put in work. He was one of those loud mouths that thought he was tough because he joined a gang.
