This is the earliest Star Dragon story ‘ve written so far I hope you like it.
“A day.” Jon frowned. “The battle on the ground should be done in the next six hours but the repairs to the ships will take much longer then any of us want.”
“How many ships are undamaged?” Constantine frowned back.
“Around three quarters.” Jon smiled. “We took them by surprise and the earth fleet turning when we first came out of hyperspace definitely helped. I would say we can go now but the part of the fleet left here would be unable to defend our prize after we leave.”
Constantine looked at his chronometer. “What ships need the most time to do repairs?”
“The Leviathan took heavy damage and so did the Goliath.” Jon looked at the reports. “The Armada is in good shape but it lost most of its shields. I wish I could say that we could cut the wait time in half but without the Leviathan and Goliath then we loose most of our fighters.”
A beeping came from the forward control consul. “Sir.” The officer called out. “We are picking up some hyperspace activity.”
Jon cursed. “Raise shields and notify the fleet that we got incoming.”
“Stand down.” Constantine yelled. “That’s our reinforcements and I don’t want someone blowing them to the next plain. Order the fleet to stand down as well.”
Seconds after the order was sent five ships popped into space in front of the fleet. Jon looked at the ships and saw hope in what they bring. Two of the ships were Tero carriers, one was a second Armada and the last was a Dwarv repair vessel.
Constantinegrinned at his son. “That is how we will hit the Sslisk before they can recover from the blow we just dealt. The Dwarves should be able to cut the repair time in half and then we can leave.”
“Admiral.” The boson said. “We are receiving word from the Armada. They say to continue to standing down.”
“Why?” Constantine asked.
Before the boson could even ask fifty ships flashed into real space. Jon marveled at the sight of the mass of ships that had just arrived. Ships from races that he didn’t recognize but five ships stood out and he felt fear run up his back.
