I apologize for it being delayed.
I was on a vacation.
So here is Chapter 2.

Mrs. Hall stood at her desk, back faced to me. She spoke, 1

“Now Ms. Mac, what’s the occasion?” 2

“Uhmmm, nothing; why do you ask?” I started smiling since she couldn’t see me. 3

She sighed, “I understand you’re not like the other student, and that you like being different, but sweetie why do you try so hard not to make any friends?” 4

I roll my eyes; good thing her back’s facing me. “Well I’m sorry no one at this school likes being original. This school is so plain and boring.” 5

Another sigh,”Ms. Mac, you have DCD (dress code detention) for the rest of the week. Now take off your tutu and crown and you can get them back after detention. Now get to class.” 6

DCD was nothing new to me; thankfully it was Wednesday so I didn’t have to go as much as usual during the beginning of the week. I walked out of the office and entered the quite hallway. Homeroom was still going on so I decided to just forget about homeroom and wait until the bell rings for 1st hour, History. 7

Homeroom was going to be over in ten minutes. I looked around the hallways to make sure no one was looking then I decided to jump and dance around until the bell rang. Finally, the bell rang and people came out of their homeroom. I got to my locker, spun the dial to my combination, grabbed my books, and was off to history class with a lot of shoving in the hallway. I walked to the back to my usual seat; then all of a sudden, the queen of brats, Jojo, walked up to me. 8

“Hi, miss freak. How was your trip to the office?” 9

“Way better than seeing your face,” I say smiling at the comeback I just made. 10

All you can here in the background is,” OOOOH!” and a bunch of laughing. Jojo was so furious that she had just been humiliated in front of most of the class, and stormed off to her seat. The bell rang for class to start, the teacher, Mr. Wood, walked in, and said, “Good morning class! Today we will be learning about 16th state to join the Union, Tennessee. So turn your books to 295,” Everyone groaned while they opened their books to the page. The second he started talking I dazed out. I only knew when to turn the page when I heard everyone flip his or her page. Finally, the bell rang and I was free.11

The rest of the school came as blur, and now it was time for detention. I technically slept the whole detention, but no one cared. Finally, it was over. I walked into the office, grabbed my stuff, and was on my way back home. I was too tired to walk through the park so hurried my way to the house. 12

“I’m home,” I yelled as I walked into the house. 13

No reply. 14

“Hmm that’s funny. Hello, anybody home?” 15

I walked into the kitchen hoping to see if my parents have left me a note or not. Then I saw it, lying on the floor covered in blood, my mom. I was so scared, I yelled at the horror of the sight. I ran to my parent’s room to see if my dad was still there, only to find him sprawled on the bed covered with blood also. I couldn’t believe what was happening; this morning they were alive and now they were covered in blood.16

My heart was pounding like crazy, and my breaths were short. I pulled my cell phone out and dialed 911. Still shock from what I have just discovered, I talked as clearly as I could to the operator. As soon I was done talking, I walked to the living room and sat there, still shocked like crazy. Soon the police came; I opened the door for them and let them see the crime scene. They asked me questions about what I did today, and I simply replied that I went to school; then came back home and saw this. They resumed to their investigation and I sat there staring into nothing. 17

“How could this happen? How did this happen? Questions buzzed all around my head trying to understand the events that happened today. 18

A police officer snapped me back to reality when he said, ”We called your aunt and uncle and they said that they would be here in 2 hours, and that they are going to live here with you. We took some of the things that had blood on them, and cleaned up the rest. I’m sorry for the lost.”19

The police officers walked out the door. “Wait, what did he just say?” My mind was racing. My aunt and uncle were coming and that is not good at all! I used to have a cousin who was almost like me crazy, funny, and all that good stuff, but one thing she kept to herself was the abuse she got from her parents, my aunt and uncle. She never told anyone about it and you couldn’t see it either she was always covered from head to toe in clothes, accessories, and makeup. She was always smiling whenever she was around anyone. We never knew anything about the abuse until she died. And what sickens me the most is that her parents got away with it. They told the police that she fell off the roof trying to sneak out, but I overheard them talking about how they abused her and wish she was still living so they can do it some more. How sickening it was to my stomach to hear that. My parents didn’t know either, and I kept it to myself because I was scared. 20

I didn’t want to get hurt, so I ran up the stairs and stuffed what I could in two bags. Within twenty-five minutes, I was out the door and running to who knows where.
